I forget who it was, but someone compared sarging to making music in that you need to be able to reflect and review on your fieldwork so you can discover sticking points etc, just as a musical artist records and listens to their music over and over again to improve upon it.


Well I went out and got myself a digital voice recorder so I can analyze aspects of my game.

One problem I have been having is that when playing back the recordings there are periods of pure rhythmic static-when I am walking or moving around (I keep it in my pants pocket).

Is there any way to prevent this?
