Hey Man. I'm intrigued by a response I've received about 4 times in the last couple of weeks from girls I've approached: "You're not hot enough to be a player". Intrigued because, there's something uncanny about the way it occurs, always about 5 minutes into a set, after a couple of IOIs, in each case on a girl who is a 7 or 8, and always after a demonstration of value or a neg. The girl will seem slightly taken aback - as if surprised, as if pissed off that I've questioned her value, and seemingly as a defensive device she will say: 'You're acting like a player, but you're not hot/fit enough to be a player...'

I use PUA methods selectively, I'm quite a 'genuine' person and luckily have enough success with women to be 'natural' sometimes and to not have to rely wholly on 'game', but I do enjoy using it. The reason I post is that this a definitive 'sticking point', which has bemused me because I don't rely on game and yet when I've used it recently I've hit this wall on a number of occassions.

I was wondering what you think provokes this response. I'm actually reasonably attractive, but I don't peacock a great deal. It seems that there's an inconsistency between my opinion of myself as far as the girl can perceive it from the way I interact with her on the approach, and my actual physical appearance. Do I need to become hotter? Do i need to be less cocky? Use negs differently? Demonstrate value differently?...

The shit test is based on that if you react you lose. So if you take that comment seriously you are too weak to be with her. In order to win you have to just ignore it. Comment like, yeah but what are you gonna do. And in to your next routine.

They're throwing you a bone, if you're getting this response a lot then it's easy to adjust your routine to encorporate it.

As everyone has said, it's a shit test....partially. Don't react, don't be taken aback, just smile and carry on as if they had said something cute and not even worth replying to.

The other thing, is that you're probably being a bit too cocky. This is where experience comes in handy - which is why you're out there gaining it by making the approaches - and is how you're going to learn how to calibrate. So just learn from it, learn to calibrate your cockyness a bit better and before you know it, when they say that, 5 minutes later they'll have their tongue down your throat.

I would also avoid the negs until you have built more comfort. It could be the delivery of the negs more than anything else.

You may be negging too hard to the point of insult, like Chino said, and raising her defenses so high that she goes for a sticking point and like a frightened cornered mouse will lunge at a cat in a last ditch effort for survival, she is brutally reestablishing her Value Level.
Try negging less, try not caring, or keep doing it till you get told you're ugly to the point where you know you're wretched and that sticking point is just a callous and no longer hurts you thus you not caring any longer.

In all honesty, go over the dialog of these interactions, break down what happened just previous to her pulling this Ace of Spades out, and what led to it. Figure out if there was something that you can have judo'd her with.
This may be a good routine, your hideousness, that you can use to your advantage.

Try this:
"I have No idea why it matters what I look like since we all know that women don't really care about looks, they want a guy with a great personality and lots of money that can make them laugh. and all us guys want a dumb young virgin with great tits, but hey two out of three ain't bad, right? I mean that's why I'm still talking to you."

The stuff in bold is good, the rest is what you leave on the curb to be taken away buy the nice men in big trucks....garbage. Nothing like telling a girl you think she's shallow and wants you for your money (we're supposed to be keeping away from that and inspiring fun and passion) or telling her that you're just another pig who wants nothing more than to fuck a stupid Paris Hilton clone to make her completely unnattracted. Even if you deliver this amazingly, it's still gonna get filed away in her brain and she's gonna add it to your profile. The only exception to this, is if she is one of those girls who don't value themselves very highly and just like to get drunk and fuck random guys, then it'll probably be gold.
