I entered several sets last night, two of them were 3 sets with three girls. The same thing happened twice. The girl in the middle was looking away after the opener, while the other two were interested in the conversation. It's really awkward trying to run a set with the one in the middle doing something else.

First time I just ignored it and she eventually pulled her friends away. The second time I clicked my fingers and said "hey shows over here", to which she replied "In a sec", which never happened. I couldn't think of anything to say at the time so I just went on with the routine I was doing at the time with the other two.

My question is, what are some effective techniques to regain someones attention when something else is on their mind/they're ignoring you?

On another note, I thought I'd share this ammusing story with you guys. I ran the "pick a number" magic routine once last night, had it going in multiple threads while talking to the other guy and girl. Got the first number from one girl correct, the other girl was like "nice work, guess my name". I replied with some whitty comment, then I guessed the second number correct with the first girl, they were all entertained. The second girl asked me again to guess her name and for some reason I said "sarah". It was actually correct, and she freaked out and thought I was stalking her, and eventaully pulled the other girl away. Note to self - never do that again.

OMFG I did the EXACT same thing a couple days ago! I was at a party and went up to this guy I met earlier and said "hey Steve," He said "Hey man." "Do you remember my name ?" "Mark right?" and there was a really hot girl next to him and she said "I knew it was Mark." (Never seen her before, ever).
"No you didn't, you don't even know me." Then I paused and surveyed her quickly.

"Sarah?" a COMPLETE shot in the dark. She freaked out because that was her name. I just thought she looked a bit like a Sarah, and it is a common name. She was so bewildered, I think it creeped her out a bit because she didn't really want to talk to me much later haha. Thats crazy bro. Same story, same name.

Anyways, back on topic. I would single her out and say something like "I have an intuition about you, I'll tell you in a second." Then continue. Or "You look like the leader of your group, your friends look at you when they are thinking of a response." Or just be more interesting/project your voice better. You can do a lot of things like complement her or neg her as well.

I was tempted to tell her it was a guess, but first of all, she probably wouldn't believe it, and secondly; I was going with the psychic thing. The other girl asked "OMG are you psychic or something?", and I went along with it.

And yeah, I'll come up with something like that for next time. Cheers.

Ok, you need to show higher energy. The girl in the middle was bored and you did not live up to her expectations. You just accepted the "in a sec" talk. More energy and make the other girls laugh and she will follow!
Also try some coldreadings, that always gets attention.
