Just a little background from me; I was pretty heavily into the PUA scene and I was beginning to get some real results, but I had to stop unfortunately because I got a job that 'raped' my schedule, giving me no nights and weekends. I still have some of the knowledge from back then, put I'm back to being kinda jittery about the approach, and my mind doesn't work as smooth as it used to when I talk to women I don't know.

Anyways,
Last night I was out celebrating a new job with some buddies of mine, and we're standing around having some drinks, just enjoying ourselves (I wanted one of those nights where I just get sloshed, lol I'm sure you've all been there at some point) and along comes with blond HB 8 and shines us a great big smiles and says "HEY GUYS! Who wants to buy me a drink!".

At this point, in my head I was thinking something along the lines of "Are you fucking serious? Girls actually do this? Good thing I've never been a wuss enough to fall for that one - who actually falls for this shit anyways!?" And what happends? My best friend (he has a gf) starts licking her boot. I gave the HB an intrigued look, and told her that usually you're supposed to introduce yourself before you ask strangers to buy you drinks, and then she just kinda cut me off and said it was her 'birthday', so I pretty much just turned my back to her a bit and started talking to my other friends. I figured if she was just going to be rude and controlling and not even introduce herself, she wasn't worth my time, but my friend took her all the way to the bar and bought her and her friends a shot.. It was unbelievable..

I'm starting to wonder if I'm going to need new wings, or if Iam going to need to go solo when I start up again (thanks to my new job ), and I'm looking for reassurance that I did somewhat of the right thing here lol

I think you may be able to use something like that to your advantage, if your buddies are like AFC-like then you can "use" them to "rescue" the girls like a knight in shining armor.

Having said that however, it might be a good idea to find more "game friendly" buddies. Like about a week or 2 ago I was in a bar/club place with my buddy who is, and admits to being, completely clueless with women (bare with me, there is a point to this story). Now I havent been doing this long and only have minor success but on this night as soon as we stepped into the bar I felt like a rockstar and was like "ok im on a mission" i started getting some social proof by chatting to the barstaff and some random people then my target came, HB9 hired gun (shooter girl). As they do, she said "want some shots guys?" at which point I remembered a field report by a guy on here where he negged her on having a full tray of shots (ace of spades i think, credit where credit due), so it came straight out of my mouth and she laughed. Here's where it got ugly, I was chatting with her for a good 5-10minutes, for a hired gun that has to move around to do her job and keep her still for 10 minutes I thought was pretty good and a decent IOI. Every now and then she'd try selling a shot again but I quickly changed subject to keep her interested, eventually though it was my friends time to shine and he actually bought me a shot so she'd go away, of course then when her bosses see her selling a shot she has to move on to look like she is doing her job properly and she did. At which point I get a little bit annoyed with my friend explaining to him why he is an idiot for doing that but he doesnt understand.

So in my opinion that is a good example of when you need a new wing, when he actually tries to get girls away from you intentionally. So I think you just need to work out what guys will potentially ruin a decent sarge, and what ones you can use to your advantage (whether they are good with women or not).

Yes i think you do need new wings. If you tried pick a girl and she said " buy me a drink" and you were about to give a smooth pua remark and suddenly your friend said "ok" that's it you have lost her. If you do decide to get new wings i suggest you go for the shy ones who never so that you at least have some social proof and it's very unlikely they will interrupt.

Plus you will be doing them a favour because they could learn from you.

sounds like it. no girls going to be seriously interested - just up for a free night. either tell your wing to get real or find a new one. or even better correct him. shes meant to be buying you a drink not the other way around.
