Hi guys this is my first post  .. I think brands matter but not all the time, I've rocked wal mart dress shirts and was still able to pull a HB8 in Reno 8) I did buy a Coach wallet though and girls love it, I get compliments all the time when I pull it out to pay for MY drinks or just at the mall. I recommend one to every PUA out there!!

I think the brands you mentioned are pretty cool but also pretty urban. They have some great designs and the tattoo styles of designers such as Ed Hardy can be quite nice.
I'd say it is all down to the kind of girl you are trying to attract though.
To a certain woman, Ed Hardy can appear quite essex-boy-try-hard ( I also have Ed Hardy stuff so I'm not dissing it at all), sean john can appear too hiphop, etc. To another girl however it might turn her head (particularly dark girls I think), I think it's definitely relative.

I find brands like All Saints can be a a good brand for 'peacock' dressing. It's smart, expensive but usually has a slightly rough authentic look to it and their accessories are definitely 'peacock' stlye.

In terms of brands though I find the more subtle the better.
Anything that shouts out huge logos just looks like your bragging.
If I buy a pair of Louis Vitton jeans it's because of how they look, the fit and the fact that they'll be very good design and quality. I'd never buy because it had a huge LV logo or anything, I'd stay away from that.

I think a girl will appreciate a pair of Cavalli boxer shorts on her floor or a good pair of D&G jeans, if it's subtly branded. It shows that you appreciate fine quality and have high standards for yourself and that your not buying these things to show off and be flash.

I don't think brands are massively important however, I think if the clothes look tidy then thats what matters anything on top of that (brands) is great for increasing your inner game, to make YOU feel better and more confident and comfortable.

To conclude, my opinion is that any brands you wear (if any) should be high quality but subtle, never buy to show off.

Wear the clothes, don't let the clothes wear you.

Brands don't matter unless you live in hollywood or fifth avenue. You can always get similar stuff for cheaper.

My method is to have several different outfits with different styles. That way you are better adapted to various venues. Have a FEW understated brand-name items (like those $40 eagle shirts from EXPRESS - best peacocking investment I ever made!) but overall, brands only show that you are rich/following the trends. They say NOTHING about your personality or attractive qualities.

clothes are important, but clothes don't MAKE the man. Look at Ross Jeffries, he pulls women without fancy clothes. But it IS good to have some nice clothes. Just remember that they are NOT everything. Don't get yourself all decked out in Gucci and Dior. It's TACKY and too much of it looks GAY.

The best idea is to mack a girl and take her shopping with you. Have her dress you, so you can get some kino started! Girls LOVE it when guys ask them for fashion opinions. If you have a good female friend, you can also take her shopping - especially if she is is into the latest fashions. Women can TELL when your clothes were picked out by a woman - and it gives you implicit social proof because you KNOW other women.

I'm still in highschool so I'm reluctant to spend over 100 dollars on any clothing since there is still growing to be had!

ralph lauren is a safe choice at my school.

quick question, bit off topic. how do you casually pull off a button down (like these, not too formal http://shortshrifted.com/wp-content/upl ... -shirt.jpg). I usually go with jeans or khaki shorts and a white T or solid color T with the button down over it. I get a lot of compliments and positive responses when I wear this attire. At the same time, it feels like I over dressed? when i see other people in button downs, i hardly ever think wow he overdressed or wow he's trying too hard. for some reason whenever i have one on, thoughts like that are nagging at me in the back of my mind. im guessing this has to do with my body language and inner game? not sure how to fix it. comments appreciated.

Is the shirt and the rest of your clothes lose fitting or fitted? Casual dress is for the most part lose clothes. You may also need to work on your inner game and body language as well. You might even try wearing clothes that are lower down on the "food chain" as well. As I know clothes do effect the way you feel about your self. And for you wearing American Eagle may come off as dress to you when you wear it. Try the Gap or Old Navy.

I've been there yeah, and don't live in Hickville.

Maybe I should elaborate - if you think that a girl will notice a little badge on your t-shirt and find you more attractive you seriously need to reconsider your understanding of the female mind.

I can see how you might have thought it would project an image of a "successful wealthy guy". Nope!

Just dress cool and go charm her pants off.

There are a lot of materialistic girls around here. And when they see a guy coming out of a new BMW M3 or M5 and is wearing designer labels, they almost run up to the guy to get his number. Seen it a lot.

And I can see how you would think that I thought that. But I don't. That comes from body language mostly, tho clothes do help some.

I certainly agree with you on that. But the opposite of that also works. Inner game is key.

Materialistic girls = Stupid girls.

There are a thousand ways to get into a dumb girl's pants, I consider it foolhardy to take the most expensive option.

haha it has a neutral connotation at my school. safe to wear, not associated with any particular clique or anything. worse thing that happens if you wear it alot is people will think your mad rich. haha

some lose fitting, some pretty fitted. i guess that might be it.
