The book and sites like these are spreading like wildfire. Will this pick up 'thing' get to be part of the main stream and the methods we use be too well known and women be used to it and it be rendered non effective over time?

first, yes. which is why i tell people to not tell women they are "pick up artists". I find this very stupid and pointless, because it ruins the community for future new comers. second, the material will get old...but necessity is the mother of invention..new methods will be used as time progresses, because half of these methods would have worked 20 years and 20 years from now none of them will work but we will have new ideas and concepts. the community is an evolving entity, it has been since its starting days and will always be. so don't worry.

No, I don't think it will become a problem. In fact, the more the better. A true PUA can adapt and change, but he also has the luxury of choosing his women, which puts the pressure on them to attract him. The more PUAs out there, the more quality women there will be trying to attract them.

Honestly, if you are that afraid that the PUA community will be so well known that why are you even here? This topic has been stomped on alot in other posts and I just don't get what you guys are afraid of... Is it that woman will think you are independant and confiedent guys that are not AFC and bow down to every desire that a woman throws at you. It doesn't matter if you tell a chick if you are a PUA or not, if you don't have any personality then no matter what you say will effect the outcome of how a woman feels about you. As for the whole secret society thing that it sounds like you guys want... grow up, why do you need to hide anything? If you hide something it usually tends to mean it's is something bad or not acceptable in society. The PUA is acceptable in society..... I am just gonna stop now because this fear that most people seem to have of being "found out" just makes me sad.

i just don't think bragging to some girl that your a "pick up artist" accomplishes anything other than trying to sound cool. a real pickup artist doesn't need to flash himself or herself around for people to admire. i mean sure, you can tell girls, and its not going to ruin anything for your game because if you've gotten that far in the first place. but i just don't see any logical reason of going and telling people just for the fun. as far as this community being a secret society...its far from it...this community has been around since the 80's...anyone who doesn't know about it doesn't need to know about it in my opinion.

Being a PUA is like anything else, it requires stacks of practice to get good. Regardless of how popular it becomes, there will always be only about 5% of those who are introduced to it that can achieve any proficiency.

I'm always inventing and experimenting with new lines and routines
If I ever do use one again, I have a strict "no more than five times rule" that I live to.

In fact, for anyone who is avid on testing new lines, I would recomend making a table with a layout like this:

Line ll works? ll Times used ll

Naturals have nothing to worry about. The thing about becoming a pick up artist is that eventually you want your game to be so smooth that it becomes natural and congruent with who you are. There must be a time when a pick up artist have to evolve into a natural who doesn't need to rely on canned routines and lines.

I think a lot of valid points were made here. The secret PUA society was kept a secret for a damn good reason: Everyone will think we are objectifying women as players. I think it is an uncontroversial fact that MOST women do not want to be played. A PUA is often mistaken as a "Player." This is understandable. I also see that "players," are not accepted into society.

I agree with whoever said that the community is an "evolving entity." As long as we stay a step ahead of those angry mother's and father's out there, we shouldn't have too many problems. I don't expect to see books like "How to Defend Your Daughter from a PUA: For dummies,"

George W. Bush will get on t.v and say "Amerca has a new threat...One greater than Iraqistan, they are operating in the streets of Amerca as we speak, this new form of terrorist is know as a...PUA...This acronym means pimp uv amerca..."

Maybe a PUA should write a sex-ed book, or teach a course.
