Whatever you do, you need to think of her as both lower than you and equal to you at the same time. Lower to be able to act dominantly and to succeed, and equal so you don't end up hurting her. That's fair enough. I'm not speaking for everyone but I think a lot of us have had that hot girl we've fallen head over heels for and had no chance with her. So we learn pickup to improve our chances and move on.

Maybe he's realising that she's not the only attractive girl around and wants to broaden his horizons rather than focussing all his energy and time on this one girl.

I've never fallen head over heels for a girl but I do want a relationship, rather than getting laid. I focus on my inner game as it builds on confidence to approach.
