For some very annoying reason, girls simply dont like Guns and Computers. Even more irritating than this, these are my only two areas of expertise.

I am a university level computer science student, having won 3 major awards for my achievements. Im also captain of the university's rifle team and regularly win shooting competitions across many different disciplines.

However, this simply doesnt seem to be a DHV. It seems ridiculous to have to lie about my talents simply because girls dont find them attractive, as they really are my only talents.

Should I have to lie?
Does anyone else have a similar experience/solution?
Can this be a DHV?

you can use the computer one too your advantage. say to a girl hey if ever you need computer help let me know....after all it is my major and if i cant help a pretty girl like you then i should just drop out. or something like that. and girls are into computers. in the sense we use them and we like the internet haha. but if you can do somethin creative on the comp, go for it show it off. even if we dont seem interested it doesnt mean we arent interested in you. and as for the rifle team...men in uniform BIG DHV lol you arent a lil boy or big boy who runs around the house with toy guns (if you are shhh) lol. you are on a team thats awesome and it takes talent. think of it that way. brains, talent, and uniform....sounds like a good deal to me lol

Find the right social groups/people and you have no problems with it. I generally don't mention anything about computers even tho I know a lot about them. Primary because most girls won't have a clue to what I am talking about. Plus being a geek still has its social stigmas to it.
