Im sure this has been noted in some literature but I recently had this happen to me and a girlfriend of mine broke it down real good for me.

I was dating a woman and she was so flaky with me it was driving me mad. A GF of mine asked what was bugging me. I told her and she laughed. She told me point blank that the girl was trying to get the upper hand. She explained so simply I thought Id write it down.

Anytime you want someone to want you more, ignore them just a bit. Its like when you call someone and they dont answer. All you wanted to do was say hi but b/c they didnt answer it starts to eat at you. Then maybe you call or txt again and nothing. By now you REALLY want to talk to them. What started off as something small (just wanting to say hello), has turned into something that is driving you nuts.

Anyways, I just wanted to point this out. Although it is so easy to understand, its still easy to fall for. Its also a good tactic for push and pull.

So true it works with everyone not only the opposite sex. I found that even when I ignored my cousin (not on purpose) it made him call more and be like wonder if I was mad at him or what was going on. Of course with family you don't to worry about them losing interest.
