I watched "The pickup artist," on Vh1's website(Vh1.com). I noticed that Kosmo described the experience as "Stripping away everything we have ever known... completely re-inventing us..." I was thinking about this. In 8 weeks Kosmo became a "Master Pickup Artist," I honestly don't believe he is a master, c'mon he had absolutely NO daygame, and still didn't get but 2 or 3 numbers in 8 weeks! Anyways he was a total AFC, the first night out, he didn't even approach the girls. At the end of the show his life had been completely changed forever. I will admit this, he did make remarkable progress.
What if you could do this. Re-invent yourself as a PUA. "Strip away," that little pussy AFC inside you and abandon everything that has made you weak. That is essentially what happened to Kosmo. Everything he knew was taken from him, torn from his comfort zone and submerged into his dream life. You can show a horse where the water is, but you can't make him drink...BULL$H1T

This got thoughts going... "I am not pleased enough with my progress as a PUA. "

"If I were to compare my progress to Kosmo on the show, I would say I'm at episode 7 1/2. "

My idea to the PUA community, open to all constructive criticism:
To help me re-invent myself, I would take a trip, like a vacation to some local place here in Florida (#1 tourist destination in the world!) South Beach, Panama City, Orlando, etc. All for the sole purpose of "stripping away" that little AFC inside me and embarking on a life changing experience.

Thoughts???

Sounds very plausible.
At the very least this will allow you to change who you are immediately without people noticing.
If you're in a place where you've been for ages, there's loads of people and things you're afraid to lose, and if you're somewhere else you're not confronted with that.

exactly my point, if I travel 4-5hours out of Tampa (my home town) to any part of Florida NOBODY WILL KNOW ME. Here I'm kinda popular, in the infamous way, not the good way. LOL

I think it would be good to do this, but there is a difference between doing this and the journey the guys at 'The PUA' have gone through.

First of all, they had a mPUA who lead them through the whole process individually. When you're gonna do this by yourself you might have a hard time noticing mistakes you make and how to progress easily without countless trial and error.

Secondly, they learnt 1 method which is the MM whereas the most of us (I believe!) are some of the methods blended to 1. Most guys here have some MM, some David DeAngelo, some Style (which is a form of MM) and even some RSD folk I believe. If I'm forgetting some widely used methods I apologize right here right now.

So you don't have to take this lightly. I think if I should do it I would gather some aspiring PUA's to correct you and so you can correct their mistakes and help each other.

Anyway you do it, good luck with everything and I look forward to reading field reports with great success!

I took an RSD bootcamp and in one weekend my life changed completely. I definately agree that if you have a mPUA pointing out your mistakes and pushing into sets will make your game skyrocket fast. So I beleive Kosmo is a mPUA or at least somewhere between PUA and mPUA

yeah, I see your point. Having Mystery teach you for 8 weeks is alot different than going solo.

Second good point: I was thinking that if I went on this trip alone, then I would be forced to make new friends and meet people. However if I go alone, how will I get unbiased feedback on my game?
hmmm......

im considering a similar venture. first, im gonna move to the city (SF Bay) and have a good hunting ground to practice. once im good, i mean real good....

I wanna take a carnival cruise and live on it for like 6 months. Lots of women + captive audience = success.

about the show, i dont think kosmo was the best. without getting a backlash of forum fire, I think he was "chosen" early on.

there were a few episodes where joe d did WAY better than kosmo, yet somehow Kosmo pulled it off. Brady was the only one to K-Close the stripper, and this was toward the end of the show.

The final challenge was kinda gay but entertaining. I think Brady's guy did better IMO...but Kosmo still got the props.

anyway...i cant prove it, but it seemed somewhat staged.

Well, if you are planning on going to one of those areas, I suggest looking for a some what experienced wing. Either from the city you choose or in close proximity. There are plenty of PUAs in that area, you just have to look.

If you get an experienced person to meet you, they can help point out mistakes and give positive feedback. Then you also don't have to hit the clubs alone, which can be combersome to someone new.
