I have a couple of girls that I'm friends with and hangout with or what not. Well I got drunk one night and asked a couple of them one night why we had never hooked up.

I woke up and was kind of taken back by it and was like wtf am I doing? I'm coming off like such a dick and kinda shrugged it off but was still shocked that I did that. I'm fairly reserved.

One girl said yeah we should hookup sometime.

The other girl said nothing so I apologized the next day. She said it was alright and what not. This is where things got weird. Later in the week girl #2 started texting me and wanted to watch a movie together. I was not available to do that. So last night she texts me that she can't fall asleep because she hears noises and is scared. I said she could come over and she said no thanks maybe tomorrow. I was thinking yeah yeah of course you are going to say that and went to sleep.

She calls today and asked if I needed to go anywhere or some food or anything because my license was suspended. She picked me up and I'm out eating and I get a phone call. I was like "yeah lets do some basketball drills tonight at 8pm." This girl looks at me and goes, "No! This is why I brought you out so that I could suck up to you and then you could stay with me tonight because I'm scared!"

So I'm left wondering... did I mess things up with these girls? Is this just a small sample size and this is inconclusive? Could I start being more forward like this with more of my girl friends? (God I hope you guys say that is how it is lol).

So anyways I'm going to spend the night there tonight and I guess I'll follow up with how that goes tomorrow.

Oh and I'm new here but yeah I know this has nothing to do with picking up. I just wanted some advice from some people because this seems like a good community to ask.

That's called a SOI (Statement of intent/interest). SOIs are great. Nothing wrong there. Hell, you don't need me to tell you this. You've seen the evidence first hand.
