This idea came to me as I was driving today. I've had trouble closing in the past and I think this could be a good remedy. I think it would work best if it is done in the day outside of a club or bar - because it requires the target to be sober, or semi-sober so that thier short term memory works well.

After you've opened, DHV'd and built rapport say, "Ok Shiela (insert HB's name here), I've got to go I'll call you on your cell phone later this week. She should immediately realize that she hasn't given you her number. She responds "I haven't even given you my number?" or "wait, how do you know my number?" to which you respond, well I was going to go home and guess it but if you insist i guess you can just give it to me (make sure you got a playful cocky smile going on).

She'll either give you the number or she'll say something like "nah go ahead and guess it", in which you reply alright I'll call you tonight at 7pm (or whatever time).

The benefit is that you can't really be shot down and she's likely to laugh at the very last thing you say if she does not give you a number. This could be a DHV that you've got a sense of humor and you're still confident. It leaves the door open to get her number the next time you see her.

I'm going to field test this one the next chance I get. If any of you would like to try it and see how it goes please let me know.

youll go to a girl you wanna open and say "hey, could you please help me, I lost my cell phone/I think my phone fell out of my pocket, can I use yours/can you call my number so I can find it?
then she'll do, and your cell phone will be in your pocket
she'll notice, obviously then CF get the phone say anything stupid and ask her if you can save her number and from here you should no what to do...

I agree with Brad on this one. It has been done, and I have seen it work. But the comfort and attraction has to be there. Try getting two IOI's, segue into comfort building. Then try it. If on the third IOI you haven't gotten it, just kiss her. You will get her number anyway.

I went out sarging today and opened a set at the beach but I decided not to number close because it turns out the target is going to be in my chemistry class this Fall. Considering I'll be seeing her often I'd rather make sure I actually like her before being that guy that asked for her number and never called (or that guy that totally led her on).

Anyway, this is officially my 30th post so I'm gonna go write my FR!

Let me know though if any of you use the number close I mentioned above. I'd like to hear how it works out. I will also update when I find the appropriate time to use it (hopefully today or tomorrow).
