Two part Question:

1) When a girl calls you cute, do you see it as positive? I personally can't stand it.

2) Does anyone have a good return neg, or smart comeback from being called cute?

Is it a common phrase used by your social group/age group to describe some1 as attractive?

I'll elaborate. I don't mean associating it with physical appearance. More in the context of:

*That was so cute
*How cute of you

I have no idea why I've always thought of it as negative. There's just seems like way more positive things to say.

maybe a good idea, is to switch it... as if they were actually saying you were cute.

Example: she: "that was adorable, it was cute."
you: "yeah, i get that a lot because of my looks... " or something like that.

I laughed out loud

I prevent this from happening in the first place by setting the frame I want as soon as possible. When she does something I see as slightly silly in any way, I call her out on it by saying "Cute." or something. This puts her in the frame of being cute, girlie, feminine, babyish, etc. etc. etc., all those things you DON'T wanna be. If she tries to put ME in that frame after I put her in it, that feels like a social violation, and girls generally don't like being social violators.

aww you are so cute

Its not necessarily a negative thing. I will say that if the guy has some quirks that I find attractive/cute. It means that your personality shines. Although I can see how it can be interpreted as negative when you are trying to establish an alpha male frame. Also, probably not a good thing if you just want to get laid. Very rarely are "hot I want to fuck you right now" guys put into the "cute" category.

Hobbit's comment was good.
