Hi everyone. Some background if anybody cares; Im 22 from LA, just graduated college, and sort of stumbled into here. Ive always been okay with girls but have a lot of room for improvement. Ive only had one girlfriend in my life and have had sex with three more (4 total); and have had a fair, but not great, number of hook ups that end short of sex. However, the thing that most frustrates me is that I am running into or passing by beautiful girls everyday, most of which I never- or in the rare case I do, clumsily- talk to.

My friend had The Game and let me borrow it, I thought it was a great read and helpful as well. I decided to pick up "Rules of the Game" and "The Mystery Method" which Im just starting on. I was wondering if these are good resources? What other books are good or helpful? And if they are, is it smart to read them at the same time, or should I do them one at a time? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Hey Bater welcome. I'm new to this myself. Personally I've only read The Game, but I have several E-Books written by Vin Dicarlo, David DeAngelo, and Tiffany Taylor (GuyGetsGirl.com) as well. I've found some of David DeAngelo's stuff to be frustrating to read, because he mainly just talks ABOUT pickup and techniques, and takes a while to actually get into the actual meat of the subject - kind of a windbag. Vin Dicarlo has a similar issue but not as bad. So I'd use these perhaps more as a reference than as a book you'd sit down and read cover-to-cover, as in the case of Strauss's The Game.

Seems to me your first stumbling block (which happens with everyone, I'm still trying to deal with it as I am very new) is Approach Anxiety, as you claim to not talk to beautiful women who pass by you. If you're worried about conversational skills, I've discovered that most people share a common favourite topic for discussion - Themselves. It's actually very easy to learn about a person, they usually give up the information freely. Just need to nudge them a little into it. E.g., That's an interesting necklace, is there a story behind it? And go from there.

Good luck in your endeavors. Hope to hear more from you!

Q.
