Great Question and I tell you there are two things that I do.
1.) I really should be getting back to my friends but Oh that reminds me...
2.) So, how does everyone know each other?
Use #1 if you want to bridge to another opener or thread to stack to if you need to get to the hook point first. I usually use this with a body rock away from them right at the point I'm saying I should get back to my friends and then rock back "Oh that reminds me..."
Use #2 to bridge to A2. You want to know the logistics of the set. You want to know who is the boyfriend, who is the brother, who is the married couple and stuff like that. You can learn a lot about a set by asking them this question. It also lets you know who your target should be if you haven't picked one, and if you need to switch targets because one is with someone.
From there just start your DHV short stories because the set is hooked and wants you to stay. You start flipping her attraction switches as per A2 of the M3 model.
