I live in Iowa City. Home to a bar, which I am going to later tonight, that has been crowned Girls Gone Wild's "Wildest Bar in America" and a place where things are just are crazy on a tuesday over winter break (including the outfits) as they are any other time of year.

That said, anyone have ideas for material to run, mindset to be in, for a place where 15 bucks gets you trashed and the home of the dollar-you-call-it?

It is hard to run game in a place where people just want to get drunk, I'm sure there are other cities/bars with this problem.

Agreed. This is what the vast vast majority of people go to the club specifically for. Why I can't tell you, cause if I want to get drunk, I do it at home so that it saves me over $100, cause at the bar it's gonna take me that much to get drunk, but that IS what everyone else is there for. They aren't there to socialize like "us". Personally, although I don't find the majority of the girls in clubs that interesting, I find them much easier to run game on than girls in places where they aren't going there to drink, because their much more relaxed.

Welcome to pickup man, it's not easy at first, you have to shed a lot of pre-conceptions you have and get over a lot of things in order to do it, but that's the game.

Anyone can walk into a bar and pick up a random girl.
The trick is to make the experience unforgettable to her.
A real PUA will make every women he encounters feel like she experience something once in a lifetime.

If you want to have a GF whom drinks too much, be my guest. PUA is about getting those HB's who actually are both cute AND smart.

Why are you so dependent on one bar to pick up girls? There has to be other places around to pick up girls.

I've been to iowa city there are lots of bars, it really is a HUGE party town. I've been there and yeah the bars can be kind of intimidating, a lot of them play the music way too loud in every part of the bar, theres no way to talk without yelling. I have two pieces of advice for you: dance with girls, this is a decent way to pick them up if you can dance (i cant dance so i....) wait until the bar closes and then hang around downtown. There will be TONS of people standing around downtown just chatting eachother up after the bars close. This is your opportunity to open some pretty decent sized sets of really drunk people who love attention.

One time i was downtown and i went to get something to eat and some girls opened me asking me if she could walk a straight line. It was a 3 set of like pretty nasty girls HB4 HB5 HB7 maybe the hottest one was sitting on the side i sat down next to her chatted her up a little bit then ditched them and went to get something to eat. They ended up coming in the same place right afterward but i ignored them because of the quality of the set and how drunk i was haha.... So the moral of the story, be cool, this place is not as hard as you're making it out to be

I figured a good bit of it out in the last week or so, first some clarifications.

-Like New Orleans people here are drunk at 2pm.
-There not really any clubs here, just bars. The place I went on Friday was part of a threesome, three bars for $3 cover, 1.50 mixed drinks or shots (u-call-it)
-Thursdays almost everywhere has $1 u-call-its
-Tailgating starts at 5am, regardless of game time, after drinking until at least 2am Friday night.

Here is what I learned so far:
-Any vaguely situational opener fails, even some NLP/DiCarlo stuff (eg. "This looks like a conspiracy")
-You can only use low-comp material. Things involving thinking are not going to work.

I consider these places THE WORST sarging locations in the USA.

The best sarging locations? Places that arent associated with incredable nightlife. Small towns seem are AMAZING for sarging. Places like Orlando, Fl and all over Nebraska are excelent.
