I wish I responded to this sooner. If you want a bag that's classy, high quality (to last YEARS with proper care), one that will only gain more character with wear, and one that's suitable for business, school, and man-bagging around town, get yourself a Johnston & Murphy messenger bag. Also pick up a spray can of the SPAM to protect it from water.

You're going to pay some for it, but when you see it next to a piece of shit bag, you'll be embarassed to wear the latter. Unless you're REALLY into black, get brown. Brown is the new black.

I get a lot, lot more of eye contact from girls now :)

yeah, that's a great bag. exactly what i was talking about!
So bland. Why not get something with a little more texture/straps/buckles/anything at all that makes it stand out a bit?

I believe man bags are ok when they they influence your style. if your wearing a bag thats random and doesnt match your style then its not ok. Only if it goes with what ur pulling off[/b]

If your gonna rock a man bag you better get your neg defense up. I have a louis vuitton man bag and I've had alot of girls neg me with "You know its really sad that a boy carries a purse." I respond with "Well what I thinks sad is that a boy has a better purse than you." all of this being very playful of course, already mentioned but its the best counter neg.

just a little commentary on the man bag dilemma--a messenger bag of some sort is always perfect for day game (errands at the grocery store, bookstore, etc). however, even girls don't like to bring purses to the club/bar (notice how if they do have a purse its a tiny little clutch), so it would probably be out of place for you to be sporting one.

just my 2 cents!
