Need openers for girls who are texting as I see HBs doing this all the time now. Here are 2 that I've used with moderate success.

1.

Me: "are you winning?"
HB: "winning what?"
Me: "you're game of tetris of course!"

2. (mostly on HB9 and HB10s)
the following is delivered with a sly/smartass grin.

Me: "why are you texting him you know he's not going to call you!"

I'm not particularly enamored with either of these but they are all I've got right now.

PUA= hey don't worry if your friends ditch you, I'll pretend to let you hang out with me.

or slight variation

PUA= hey if your friends ditch you. you can pay me to hang out with you. or just buy me a couple drinks till the show up.

A girl I opened on, told me to hold on, so she can pay the bartender. I just sat there waiting for a few seconds, and then I realized i was looking try-hard. Walked away. Never looked at her again. The thing is, she wasn't even my target. The target was the girl next to her. But apparently she thinks hot.

I really like Romeo's cocky and funny opener but I wouldn't recommend pretending to walk away with a girl's phone when you haven't got comfort yet or at least a REALLY playful attittude. If you are playful she'll know that you're joking but if you're not she might start screaming and you'll get in trouble. It's all in the delivery. I would definitely use the opener but I don't know if I would continue the same way. After all, it's just an opener. You don't have to talk about cell phones the rest of the time.
