I usually spike my hair in the front with gel but i think it might be an afc look. maybe i should just get my hair really short like david d. or maybe i should grow it out some and figure out how to give it the "i just had wild sex" look. What do you guys think works?

the answer is subjective, there is no ideal hairstyle. Some hairstyles look shit on some people and great on others, whatever suits you bro.

I figured that was the case. But another thought is that all of PU is subjective where some things work for some and not for others. It makes sense though that a hairstyle could be drastically definitive of "this does not work" for some people.

You could try cutting it really short, but not bald, it works well if you have a nice round head, otherwise don't count on it. From what I can see in your picture, it could possibly work... so if you're feeling like taking the risk, do it. I used to have longer hair, and one day I just went to the barbershop and told the lady to cut it really short, shave it basically, just not as short as Style. She was asking me if I was sure and I joked about signing a waiver.

Anyway, I got it all shaved and the results were surprising to me, and also to other people. Next day at school people, but most importantly girls, noticed it and told me it looked great and how I was cute (brag). I even went up to a girl and got her, I'll just say, very interested. Hell, even two guys copied me.

The point is, your hairstyle can definitely make you look a lot better or worse. Also, let me tell you that the spiked front is overused and pretty much every guy has it, same for spikes, which is a reason I never got a hairstyle similar to those. This (shaved) one is working out great. Girls love to touch it and I recommend it.

You should have a hairstyle that you are comfortable with, and one that looks nice on YOU.

Assuming your avatar is at least a semi recent picture of you, I would say take a look at photos of Keanu Reeves as you have a face very much like him.

Go for a consultation at your nearest up-market salon.

Then tell them you need to give it some thought and go somewhere cheaper.

If that's you in the pic, I would advise against going too short, I don't think it would suit you.

Although it can be hard to tell from pics, I think going with the "I just had wild sex" look would be great for you. As was mentioned, go get a consultation with someone at a half decent place and then you can get it cut wherever you want without having to pay the expensive price and you'll still get the good advice.

I would go for a Japanese look. I think that it would catch some good attention for you. Also I think that a simple long Italian hair style would suit your face better.

whatever style you go for you gotta be comfortable with it . get advice from a top salon . most will give you a free consultation then go an get it done somewhere cheaper , but always use a good place for the consultation as they no thier stuff

I actually saw a program online where you can put different hair styles on your face...maybe that would work?

But the way that I found what looks the best is, back in high school, I had hair down to the middle of my back. One day, I just buzzed it off. And about two months later, it looked perfect for my face. So, now I know what looks great because I let it grow from nothing to the perfect length. You can try that, if you don't mind looking a tad awkward in the process.

Long hair dude, girls go wild for it. Try it and you'll see what I mean. It makes you look "at ease" with yourself - I think the majority of hairgel styles come accross as a bit dweeby
