but just like approaching a group at a club and asking how they know each other. You should definitely throw in how do they know the person throwing the house party and of course how do they know each other.
If you get a response that they don't really know the person throwing the party then I would act like I'm best mates with the guy or I even live here and maybe neg them with something about crashing the party.. get out of my house ... no you can stay and point out the target/obstical depending on the re-action ... I dont think it's an opener but it could be stacked very near the start compared to a nightclub approach.
Sure that's my 2 cents but im a newbie.
