Hey guys, I just began PUA and I finished reading the whole books and learned the concepts.

Anyways im really excited to start sarging and approaching girls especially to raise my self confidence, but with all these openers and rapport things it just feels so weird. Is there a way to avoid using canned material, how can I approach girls without doing ¨hey who lies more¨ I want to become a really good natural PUA

1. Make up your own openers if you want unique canned
2. Open directly

Or just go up and start talking. Pretend that you were mid conversation and you had to walk away for a minute.

"So, as I was saying - whenever we speak it's like she acts as though we're still together, you know?"

Doesn't really matter what you say.

Canned material is there to help you get started. I myself didn't really like them either so I came up with some of my own openers. And after a while when your game starts to get tighter you will be able to open up with pretty much anything.

Duude, I respect your view on gaming soo much.
Natural game is what you want??
Check out Juggler's stuff and David Deangelo's.

Other than text book material, natural game is mostly about inner game and confidence.
Also, understanding women will help you out a lot as well.

I don't particularly like canned material either. It's all about just having the confidence to say something unique to a set.

Example:

I was on the ferry yesterday and sat next to a two set of a HB8s (I always sit next to good sets... hehe) and began reading my book. I happen to overhear one of the women commenting about gifts from her bf and the other said, "Men just needs to be trained."

Without even a second thought I turned to her with a sarcastic/what did you just say tone of voice, "Excussseee Me!?" To which they both responded by cracking up. I ended up talking to these two the entire ferry ride as they were both pretty cool gals. The beauty of not using routines or canned material is that the conversation is just as fun for you as it is for them.

My thoughts on Gambler's The Natural Art of Seduction was that it's a natural version of The Game. It contains a little more "how-to" but has a very good storyline running alongside it. Covers a lot of ground and is definitely worthwhile if you're new in and want to use that route moreso.

That's the fucking spirit. Don't plan things, no canned material, no routines.

Check out DiCarlo, Gunwitch, Juggler, Carlos Xuma, David X.
Basically everyone but Mystery.

Way to go man, you just opened a thread for people to bash on indirect game. As to natural game, I just finished Juggler and I liked that a lot. You can pretty much just keep David D's C&F and toss the rest in my opinion, and I just started DiCarlo and am enjoying that one as well. Just a tip to all you routine haters, you ALL have your own little routines whether you notice or not.

Good luck on your natural game dude.

It's not conforming, its learning the basics.

If you don't want to use those think of real questions that you wold ask any one or go in direct. But you probally don't have the confidence to do that yet, so start slow.

and rapport is really important so get used to it.

You'd be suprised at how many sets Mystery gets blown out of.

And so for those of you banking on Syle as a MM follower, he really wasn't. You'd be amazed at how much NLP and direct game he used. IMO, learn it all and mix it up to how it works for you.

Canned openers and routines are really just for beginners trying t get over AA. Think, if you have AA, what's the first thing that goes through your head?

"I just don't know what to say."

Arming a beginner with canned material at least starts him out with the confidence of knowing what to say.

Once you get to the point where you're past AA and don't need a crutch than you should either have your own VERY unique stuff or just go for direct game altogether.

It's just a temporary crutch for beginners.

Trust me, you should start with canned openers. It really helps with getting used to rhythms, and you are confident because you pretty much know what is coming.

After a while you will develop your own openers, etc. And think about it, don't we all use openers anyway? Surely you find yourself starting conversations with the same lines/ideas sometimes? Maybe you just went to a great gig, so you tell people about it when you see them. That's effectively loosely canned material isn't it? You are just having the same conversation with lots of different people.

Just make sure you use openers that suit you, alter them a bit, whatever you want, soon you will be really comfortable using them, and then you always have something to pull out on the spur of the moment.

Trust, don't run before you can walk my friend.

Much love.

Not to be the designated forum Mystery defender, but how could anyone know that unless they were in the field with him?

This is absolutely right. He was definitely an eclectic. In "Rules of the Game" he opens many sets in the book-none of which are opinion openers.
Picking and choosing what works is the only way to succeed. There is no "best way". Thats why people who know their shit in this forum (Chief, Rye Lee, Zip, Romeo) have studied many PUA methods.
