What's your budget?
Bed linen is really important.
Scent probably the biggest thing - candles are relatively cheap and can last a long time.
Problem with computer desk is you probably have a chair - that's somewhere to sit other than your bed.
Projector idea I quite like.
Other key things: nice rug/carpet, personal touches (pictures, ornaments, trophies ect). Single stiletto or something tucked just visible under your bed will help.
I've always lived in shared houses so I keep this kinda thing in my room. A nice collection of grooming products will always go down well. This doesn't necessarily mean expensive stuff, but aftershave, deoderant, hair products, exfoliator, moisturiser, shampoo, mouthwash. Have a spare toothbrush unopened.
Not multi-thousand dollar project or anything, something to spruce the place up. My computer chair is an old ragged vinyl/leather chair that is starting to peel, looks like junk. I feel that sitting at the computer is so boring(I guess it just reminds me of my old life of just sitting for hours and hours at the computer) Im digging the idea of candles, and the heel under the bed(I heard about this on mystery method dvd) He also mentioned some plants with LED lights in the planter to make the room a little more interesting. Im really excited for the projector idea(I live in a shared house, its really open and the TVs are in the open(Not the greatest place to watch a movie)) So adding a projector could really bring life to the room.
