I'll admit, it's easier when girls have an attraction toward you without you even approaching them. But, because there is that attraction doesn't mean you automatically get the girl, you have to play the game.

I ran into a HB8.5 (strawberry-blond hair, blue eyes) that I knew in high school. Well we were friends and she had a HUGE crush on me and I just wasn't interested (still made out with her though).

She recently broke it off with her fiance. All the time we were talking she was giving me MAJOR IOIs. For example, I was out of country for a month and a friend of ours was getting married... my dad ran into her mom and started talking to her and getting the scoop on the HB. Long story short the HB was flattered my dad was interested in her life (haha he just wanted the scoop as to why she broke it off with her fiance). During our convo the HB literally said "I just wish you had a crush on me as much as it seems as your dad does." Of course I had to reply with a little C/F -- "Well I can see if my dad is free for lunch sometime this week if you want him to take you out..."

We started talking a little bit more and I found out she lives about 45 min away from me now. "Dang, I'd take you out to lunch but you live so far away now. It'd probably be easier if I just took your mom out [inside joke]"

HER: Why does it have to be lunch, why not dinner?
ME: Well, we'd be in the daylight then... at night you might try to take advantage of me (more C/F).

Anyway, long story short she asked ME for my number... she was melting in my hands.

On to the text messages!

Her: Now I can stalk you...you know that right...cell phones and text messaging is my life lately, you know what with that real job thing! (she's a "working woman" now as I called her in our convo)

Me: Well I give you permission to stalk me at least once a day

Her: I might take you up on that then! I checked my data usage thing earlier today and since June 19 I've sent or received 3400 messages, am I sad or what?

Me: That's weak sauce. we'll see if we can push you over that

Her: I'm all for trying! so who is this girl you are going to hang out w after midnight? (I told her I had to leave so I could put a time constraint on our convo. It was midnight and I said I was gonna go hang out with some friends... she thought it was a girl...)

Me: Haha if i said there's no girl my night becomes less interesting to you. so i'll leave it a mystery

Her: No interesting will be there because its so late, whether its a girl or a boy!

Me: Just some friends hitting up the movies and waffle house. no particular order
Me: Glad my life intrigues you

Her: You're a slow texter! For you to push that over the top! You take a long time in replying!

Me: I can only text at stop signs

Her: Lol, what move you watching? Intriguing because I'm jealous!
Her: Lol, Dad orders? You haven't learned to text without looking at the key pad?

Me: Haha not as talented as you. what i lack in quantity i make up for in quality texts

Her: Oooh! Smooth move! You might be my biggest competition for flirt!!!

Me: Haha competition? i think i win hands down

Her: Tenemos un coqueto!!!! (we both know spanish, she majored in it in college... i just came back from a spanish speaking country)
Her: Are you serious?! Do you know who you are talking to? You may be more of the smooth charmer, but I don't know if you win flirt in my book yet?

Me: Haha smooth and charming. you haven't seen anything yet

Her: Yet? Hmm! Can't wait then! Just makes me sad that you do the charming act to every girl, and not just me :*(

Me: You can't be jealous now. there's plenty for you Haha

Her: Lol! Its all good darling! My alarm goes off at 6 am! I really do need to get some needed beauty sleep! Good reconnecting, hopefully we can get my text #s up?!

Me: Haha ok. I'll probably be up when you're waking up

Her: I'll try you then if I remember but mornings and me don't get along very well! If you are up... how bout a wake up reminder!!

Me: Haha. i don't want morning sass if i do

Her: There's no sass in my morning, only hatred and sleep!!

Me: Well sleep well

Her: This is the latest I've been up on a work night in a long while, I'm really getting scared that the alarms aren't going to wake me!! Haha


sorry it was so long, just thought i'd post the whole convo. I'm not really interested in this girl either. I thought I could play the game from what I've been reading in these forums (and the book) and apply it. I think I'll meet her once -- but I'm interested in another right now...
