Im in high school but I always rock out the lacoste, polo, or A&F anywhere I go. It looks good and I think makes me look refined. But then again I have gotten no where with girls. So i don't think its really how expensive your clothes are until you are older, when in lounges and upscale bars they can really see your brands and clothes and appreciate it.

Well, the thing with brands is...

When you overdo it and you have the beliefs those are gonna bring you chicks. You are dead wrong! Its just a part of you to be original in. A big brand name doesnt necesserly turn on chicks. Its the balance of all the elements that represent you in that current situation. I mean. Its not like something is automatically hot because it was made by this and this factory.. Some rly shallow girl could put value in the fact that this brand is just worn by the nicest models and she prolly rather goes for the looks...

But come on! Just dress to your character. If you have none, fix that first and than worry about how you should dress to make the cut. Cause not caring bout stuff like that in the first place just might give you enough relief to relaxxx;)

well I think COSMETIC stuff helps in some cases... for example I was dressed to kill as well but when I was out chilling with my sister she was telling me how I need new shoes because the ones I had are junkie... she was saying how she wont even give the guy time of day if he didn't have a nice pair of shoes on LOL now thats my sister but you get the point... confidence helps as well

An example of some clothes I have.

Ralph Lauren Polo shirt £55

Non-Branded Slazenger Polo shirt, just as good cotton, great fit
£12.

Very few brands these days hold any real VALUE whatsoever, some that do are; Chanel, Rolex, Bulgari, Persol. They have really contributed to clothing, jewelery and accessories.

Think for a moment, as a whole what is unique and diverse about DKNY, CK or even Gucci these days? Is the quality really so fantastic?

As for clothes themselves you have to "wear" the clothes, not be covered in "brand clothing" or dress like a trend-whore with no individuality.

Wear clothes for fit, colour, style and quality. Experiment, you can talk to some female friends, your mother or even have a session with a stylist!

Always ask, what do your clothes communicate?

Good colour, fit and styled clothing beats an overly priced "branded" equivalent hands down in my opinion. There are so many bargains to be had too, I am not made of money, but buy occasionally and buy carefully. I may spend 30 pounds on a shirt if it fits excellently and is a suitable colour.

I am not anti "brand", I believe that some high street brands are simply not the be all and end all.

Some brands make excellent clothes however and very for reasonable prices, but there are a few we all know which are highly popular purely for the name, and these are the brands I find little value in.

Student X...

P.S. Branded clothing is a problem when it is worn as an advertising board, wear clothes to compliment your body and advertise YOU :)

YOU are the prize!

Brands don't mean jack.

It's what looks good on you that counts.

it all depends on what kind of girl you're trying to pick up. certain brands have cachet in certain demographics and would torpedo you in others.

I would stay away from brands like that. They are waaaay too common. You can walk into any high school classroom and point out at least 12 guys wearing those brands. You want to stand out (in a positive way). I'm not gonna point out any brands in particular, since I dont know you or your style, but you might wanna check out some of the brands mentioned on this thread. But what is more important than the clothes, is how you wear them. They have got to go with your personality.

Here's my take on it:

Brand names are great if they make you feel confident. I rock a few pricey D&G items because they make me feel successful.

However, the specific brand is not very important. I think you should always look tight when you're sarging, but you don't have to spend thousands to get a sharp look.

Many guys overlook the power of their accessories. Invest in the best shoes and belt you can afford. (make sure they match!) Go ahead and indulge in some peacocking with a flashy watch or a nice pair of sunglasses. Brand-name ALWAYS matters with accessories, because they are worthless if they aren't well-made.

You know why HBs would recognize any major brand names at all? It's because the guys in the advertisements wear the clothes with confidence, and they BELIEVE they are sexy enough to get any girl they want.

lol dude if you are saying that a 45 dollar t - shirt is crappy then you are most likely a spoiled rich kid who donest know much about game. There are much larger issues in Pick Up then what clothes you wear. I think you need to build the base of your pick up pyrmid and then focous on the very top.

I find that one of my favourite peacocking items are Fossil watches with flashing displays.

They are good quality and only cost from £50-£100 in the UK and far far less in the states and I get approaches from both sexes all the time asking me about them.

Ed hardy and Christian Audigier for sure, especially at my age(17) Its expensive as hell but you only really need to buy 1 or 2 shirts, a pair of shorts and maybe a hoodie and you're set. Just wash it alot so it doens't rank. They are really interesting looking and definatly make girls notice you a little more. Im kinda going broke paying for it all but eh whats money at 17 anyways. My sister is a major club goer(some say shes a HB10 but I can't really confirm nor deny that as it is really creepy to think about)and she has groomed me into fairly decent looking guy to girls.

http://www.donedhardy.com/ Take a look at some of the shirts and shorts, they grab alot of attention on the streets. Not so much at the club as alot of people wear it there.

I wear vintage shirts like affliction and xtreme couture, I represent mma so this is stylish while sticking to supporting mma so fighters get paid more.

On that note,

I feel my confidence goes up alot when I wear this clothing, so it may not be the clothing the girl is attracted too (though you may think it is) it could be just that much more confidence you radiate while wearing this clothing. :D
