This is something I found on one of my lady friends myspace pages. I thought it might help out a bit. Here goes:
"Girls are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. The boys don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they get the rotten apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy. So the apples up top think something wrong with them when in reality they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right boy to come along, the one who's brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree."

Allow me to 'modify' this slightly. "Girls are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. The boys dont want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling off and getting hurt. Instead they try to shake the tree or shout at the apples or just stare longingly at them because they hope one will fall into their open, sweaty palms. Some get the rotten apples. Others climb up a little and just as theyre getting into it, get a slightly higher quality apple, scurry off with it greedily in their paws never to approach the tree again. The apples up top know damn well that their the shit. But they dont get picked much because of the boys incompetence and graceless climbing. They secretly will those boys up the tree as they want to be picked, cherished and tasted. Then the pick up artist arrives in his painting crane..."
