crash and burn.
me and my friend were at the mall, we stumbled upon a set of HB's too 6's and one 9. They were walking towards us and we were walking towards them. Our mistake was, we targeted the 9 instead of opening all of them, the HB 9 just ducked and covered and kept walking past us with her friends. I mean she was on her phone as soon as she got close to us she hung up so, in my head i was saying to myself we must of got her attention. It was quiet embarrassing when she just ducked and ran. Some of us have to learn the hard way, me and my friend sure did.
if any of you have advice please share

haha ouch... dude there's nothing wrong with what happened, sure you met some embarassment but see already in that post, you acknowledged what you did wrong, you realise it and you're ready to change it...that's all it's about, i mean all you need now is time and more oppurtunities and the number of crash & burns will dramatically decrease while the number of #closes, k-closes etc will dramtaically increase. Good Luck:!:

dont let it kill your game
the only failed attempt is the one not taken
and the only mistake is the ones you dont learn from
and you took the attempt
and you learned from it

good job

I think your main problem was that you were actually trying to game someone in motion. 2 points about that:

1. Things in motion stay in motion

2. Never try to approach someone walking past you as you walk towards them.

This is when you need to be going the same direction but slightly ahead, look over your shoulder and open them, if they try to walk away do not follow. If you open well then they will stop.

I actually disagree a little. Since there were 6's in the set, he might have been able to open them. In my experience, a 6 loves attention much more than a 9, and is therefore much easier to open.

What I've learned about 9's, is that you shouldn't open the whole set, but everyone in the set but her.

I think that if you looked at one of the 6's, looking at her in a questioning manner and then opening her. By doing this, she'll know that she has your attention, she'll be looking at you and actually being able to receive what you say to her.

After opening, focus ONLY on the 6's and barely pay attention to the 9. If she gets off the phone somewhere in the conversation and asks about what's going on (she probably will, since she's used to being the center of attention), neg her about interrupting or raise your finger as if saying "not now" without even acknowledging her presence.

And then you probably know how to proceed.

But still, since it's in the middle of the day and they were probably heading somewhere, I would just have taken this as practice.

And voilá, an opened set and hopefully some value built and attention from the 9.

Realise i probably should have given a better explanation/ more detailed post.

Approaching moving targets

Moving targets are targets that are walking/in motion. Objects in motion tend to stay in motion. This leaves you with two options:

1. You pace her. In effect walk with her
or
2. You stop her

Now two things you dont want to do when approaching a moving set is walk behind her and talk/tap her on the shoulder. As this looks like you are following her, never good. The other is to try to open a set that is walking towards you (in effect past you) as you walk the other way. Like a head on collision. Now because of the opposite motions you dont have a chance to go into an opener, the time she spends in your area of conversation is too short( the same way two cars going in opposite directions are never near each other for a long time. So in order to get the attention you would have to say something like 'excuse me.' Now you should never say that, now you have no value and you have to recover from that. She is going to feel threatened and freaked out. Yeh you can recover from this but why would you put yourself in a situation where you have to?

So what should you do , start off by walking along side them slightly ahead and talking over your shoulder. Do Not turn to her or keep looking over your shoulder to her. Both of which would lower your value. If she starts to walk away, let her and continue talking. If you follow her she will be freaked out but if you just carry on talking she feels as if she is missing out on something. Well as long as you are using an opener or saying something interesting.

So the three main points of moving set game are:

1. Objects in motion tend to stay in motion
2.If you approach a girl on the street you have aboslutely no value
3. A PUA does not chase, women chose them.

Hope this clears things up.

My sticking points regarding sarging regard extensively opening on the streets so far and I can agree with Ace's points about value vis-a-vis your way of approaching/opening.

I have opened many girls head-on, almost always with an "excuse me", and so far I have not really gotten anywhere at all. Launching straight into your routine without a polite signal for your target to stop will however mean they continue walking. I tend to ask for the time, directions or a simple opinion opener merely as a way of warming up. I have found that when possible, getting eye contact with the target for a few moments before opening helps with the approach. Most girls stop for only a very brief second and give their answer as they are leaving. It really isn't easy.

I have done better when walking past the target in the same direction, slowing down, and then stopping for instance at a crossing, before turning around and opening, then walking with the target some distance.
