Heya peeps,
I got a question about false time constraints: 'I can only talk for a while, gotta get back to my friends in a minute'
Is the function of a false time constraint:
a) To let the girls think you won't stick around for long and so they won't be creeped out about your approach
b) To have an 'excuse' when you bail out and for have a bridge for your return

Or a combination of the two?

I recognize I don't use them, and I always hear it works big time! Well tonight's another night, I'll try and see what happens

Hey.

I use the false time constraint to let the set know that I only mean to ask them one question and then leave. It lowers their "resistance" because you won't be there for too long, while also acting as an indicator of disinterest.

Although I use this for the above reason, I do accept that it does allow an opportunity to withdraw from the set if necessary.

Ultimately, it's a relatively useful tool

Yea it lowers their threatened feeling by quite a bit. It doesnt even have to be thrown in right away for example:

PUA: Hey i need a quick opinion on something, do you girls think guys cheat more than girls?

Girls: blah blah blah

PUA: Cool, i gotta get back to my friends in a sec but get this, the real question is who lies more?

This can help you lock in if they are sitting down or whatnot and works really well!

well it is also a DHV

showing that you have a social life, and that you are too busy to just sit and try and get her, it also shows that you aren't going for her.

Neither.

FTC's raise your value and make you seem like you're busy. By not letting the girl know you have to go somewhere, your value drops.
An FTC gives you "reason" to be in a set. Look at it that way.
