That's a bad idea, plus it's something you would do in middle school. to "ask them out" and make it "offical". Like it's some switch that you can just TURN ON! There's an important question, how far have you gone with her? This is even worse of an idea if you haven't even kissed her yet.

Plus the best way is just to go on dates and go how ever far you go(just be careful of buyer's remorse). And after a while the people around you and yourselves will feel when it's "offical".

I've gone pretty much everywhere but sex. Thing is, she is one of those girls who likes things like this to be officially announced and what not. Its hard to describe. but it would just push her buttons if I did this.

How old are you? College, Highschool, Past college? This question strikes me as one that can be vastly different depending on age.

Works well for high school through mid-twenties. A non-committal, low pressure way to have "the talk." Also, it avoids all the cheesy bullshit such as writing a poem or doing something "special." If she's into you, she doesn't care or want that shite and doing so only lowers your value. Not a great way to start off a relationship.
