Best confidence someone can build?

is to work out, like take up grappling and pump iron? cause i see that u get a fighters confidence, like u can hold ur ground. I read alot of cd nonsense of confidence, but i'm pretty sure that working out is the best type of confidence someone can build simple right? like my teacher told me, " if ur weak inside, build urself outside"

You have to want to improve yourself. That leads to you finding new activities and being content independently from a woman...When you dont need anybody else to make you feel good about yourself...you will have confidence.

I started working out, took up grappling, a long with paint balling, and trying to learn how to play guitar... it's crazy because when i started taking up activities i had a really low self esteem and i would go out of my way to walk around people on small sidewalks and such...now I walk and people walk around me and many times I can see girls walk by, make eye contact, and seem to lose train of thought about what they were talking about with their friends...lol I just need to get rid of my approach anxiety now

Fill your time with things you enjoy to do and you will not have time to have low self-esteem. The more things you have constructively eating up your time, I have found, the less time you have to be creepy and needy around girls. Furthermore, you'll become well-rounded and more interesting, reliventthings to say during conversations which is a confidance booster in itself.

Your teacher has inner conflict issues... don't believe that crap. I'm the skinniest guy I know and I'm more confident with women than anyone else in my entire circle of friends. If you go out into the world and stop giving a shit about everything, jump in and do it, you'll see what you're capable of and an amazing feeling will envelop you - and believe me, when you do it consistently for a while your confidence will spiral upwards and you'll be able to do whatever you want without even trying.

Bodybuilding will only give you false confidence. It's the same with guys who have lots of money. I'm not saying working out is a bad thing because it's good for you, but don't do it just because you want to feel confident. If you want real balls then be happy with who you are.

Why is that? Cause your training your mental state aswell? Or ability to break someone's legs if your being attacked or something?

I'm searching for a martial art and Jiu-jitsu catched my attention. Sadly, there isn't any training close to my home. There is a kick-boxing or taekwondo training pretty close though, and was thinking to practise one of those sports.

Advice?

the reason i like jiu jitsu is the fact that it teaches u to push urself beyond belief. when training, u are in a hot ass gym, wearing a heavy gi (really thick jacket and pants, made to withstand the wear and tear and also used to add heat to ur body to train conditions), u roll with that are huge compared to u and small compared to u. using jiu-jitsu a small guy has a chance against even the biggest competition? ever sound familiar?? it trains u to be confident yet humble, so all cockiness goes out the door. you also learn how to defend urself in a way where u wont have to break skulls, imagine an AMOG trying to rough u up a little bit and u do a simple hold to make him get off of u? esp when hes 120 lbs heavier then u? jiu-jitsu will build up ur confidence so much. i highly suggest it!

yeah i agree that lifting weights/being in shape may AID in confidence but in no way will it solidify one's confidence. I've been jacked since i was young and only until recently have i admitted i had confidence issues. Probably why i'd get so much initial attention but once i opened my mouth my body language went to shit w/o even realizing it. No matter how jacked you are...bad body language will be obvious.
