Anything artsy or creative seems to work pretty well. I wouldn't really reccomend saying anything about math or computer-related jobs. Women seem to go more for artists or photographers, or some kind of performing art.

Also unique jobs or working at a unique places also work well in my experience. When ever I tell girls I work at a preforming arts center, it usually perks their interest.

I think it does, depending on where you live.

Whatever you do dont tell them you're a soldier i dont know what its like in the states or any where else but Back in Britain squaddies arent to popular and it dont go down to well if your in the army. For some reason chicks just don't seem to *twang* their knicker elastic at this most honored and noble occupation. A common one you pretty much see all Armed Forces blokes in the UK say is that they train Dolphins thus to make this convincing they say they are a 'Marine Mammal Trainer', only a charlatan would ever refer to it as a Dolphin Trainer.

You hear a bloke in Briatin say this 98% of the time he's in the army or the Marines. (the other 2% are probably real dolphin trainers)

I think talking about your job is a great way to transition into role-playing.

Are you an architect? say something like, "so do you want me to build us a villa in Tuscany, or a cottage in the Alps?"

Are you a fireman? I don't even need to give an example for that one :D

How about being in a band? Jump into some funny made-up story about how you wrote a song about her once.

Who was the jackass who said to avoid talking about your math or computer career?!?! Sure, you might have to be a little more creative, but high risk=high reward.

Really, you can do anything. Don't let your job be a buried opportunity to build attraction. I mow lawns in the summer. Boring, right? Wrong. She'll ask what I do, and I usually respond, "oh, i mow lawns. It's great...I get to be by myself all day and imagine meeting cute girls."

I'm an artist but I'm careful when I tell people. I have a habit of getting carried away and going on about things that I find very interesting, unfortunately not everyone else does. I'll say this though, drawing naked women is incredibly unerotic. Sad but true.

Im having trouble explaining what I do lately since it is widely unknown to the offline world. Plus, bars/clubs can be noisy and it takes a while to explain.

I think my profession would be attractive to women, but i havent told enough of them yet what i do to know for sure.

i make a full time living from the internet as an affiliate marketer. basically, i've had the last 3 weeks off, traveled around the states, and made money while i sleep.

When they ask, "what do you do", I usually say "Internet Marketing", and get a blank look. Or they go..."Oh, so you run a porn site or something?".

That of course could make for some interesting banter, but that's not what I do.

Any other affiliate marketers here that have come up with a unique DHV building explanation of what we do?

I'm a correctional officer. I just need to find a way to turn that into a DHV.
