It threw me off and I responded with "I don't even know you!" and she made some face and turned to her friend and whispered something and then the convo started spiraling downwards


what should I have said?!

i probably would of said the same thing, matter of fact that happen to me over the weekend. Bartender said i couldnt use my debt card unless it was $50min ... so i asked 5people what they wanted. Well she kept asking me if i was sure by the third time i paid out of pocket. One girl was actually feeling me i guess and she asked where i drink was ... i blamed it on the bartender - the bartender blamed it back on me ... anyway im attractive so she was still interested .. anyway ... best thing would have them do something to prove themself to you ...

Bar Bet or Reverse ESP write the number on paper if she guess it right, buy her a drink ...

Or, you could just chuckle and say, "Sorry, I don't buy strangers drinks, let's chat a bit first and we'll see." Of course you change topics, multi-thread, by the time you've got them hooked, they've forgotten about the drinks, or they now have enough respect for you that they won't pull that shit.

i'm not 18 for another year an a half but i was wondering if anyone could respond like "Sorry i'm not an impulse buyer, but your more than welcome to buy yourself one." CF I think if you say it with the right tone it would work pretty good but if you have any slight bitterness in your voice you'll kill it.
