Some people I talk to use their PUA name exclusively when sarging. Others insist it's just for online anonymity. I'm undecided, and it probably depends on the venue. I could be Eyes at a club, but that would be creepy while daygaming Wal-mart.

What do you guys think?

I think that PUA Handle's are stupid in my opinion to use in-field. I know I might start a war here but come on who wants to introduce themselves as their handle. Even the GURU's like Mystery will still say his name is Eric, Matador is typically introduced as James Matador, Extramask is just Barry, and so on. I use to use my PUA name in field and I had a backstory behind it because it's my nickname. However, I still introduce myself as Jon or J.

I think it's good for online anonymity like you said, but that's about it. Unless you say, most of my friends call me "Eyes" but you can call me xxx.

It's stupid; PUAs argue they are being real and not adopting using a fake personality using their techniques or training but at the same time use fake names and create this alternate persona that is not the real them.

Online is even stupider. People write field reports like:

Striker: ......
HB9: ......

Instead of:

Steve: ......
Allison: ......

As if people are going to find out who was written in the field report. If you're using a fake name you are creating a fake person as if to say you're not satisfied with your true self.

If you are being real, genuine and have skills why should you feel the need to hide your real self?

This is just a disease that has been passed on from generations of PUAs on this forum. This is just their way of writing a FR...and yeah if they do not want other people to know their name online...who cares? it's the work they have done in the field that matters so no big deal.

All depends. Personally I use Rye, but that's because my real name doesn't suit my personality and even when I tell people both, all my friends and girls call me Rye now. It's honestly just who I am, not because I'm trying to hide behind a name or anything, but it IS my personality. I've been thinking about legally changing my name actually, so then when people ask me if that REALLY is my name, I can say yes.

Were my alias Cosmic, or Raiju, or one of the various others that I've operated other, then I definitely wouldn't use it though.

Yeah good call guys. I tend to enjoy the online anonymity of the PUA handle, and I think it's fun to write field reports with the handle/HBx format. But in the field... I'll just be me haha.

You can't walk up to a girl in a club and introduce yourself as Goldeneye. You cannot do that lol. I'd be laughed out of the club. I would never ever think of doing that...plus I'm so connected in my city that I can't go anywhere without running into someone I know, and they'd call me by my real name and then everything would get weird.
