Doctor is great... Especially if you look like a rockstar, creates a bit of confusion in their little heads and stirs curiosity.

Actually, I found that when I told people I was a trainee secondary school teacher (which I was for a year), I got a bad response, as if people thought that you were scum of the earth or in need of pity.

Such as -

"Aww it's so hard.... I pity you with those kids of today....I'd never teach"

or

"You teachers are all spoilt ... with all those holidays, cheap rents etc. etc."

I work for a small record label, doing graphic design. Never had a bad response.

Right on Ace.....Youre so right about having the passion in what you do and make it interesting and catchy as well. I like that explanation...

I'm studying to be a psychologist, or a doctor if you so will, but I don't know how to implement this into a routine. I'm new to this whole scene, so any pointers would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Im due to start as firefighter in the summer. Even though its only "due" and you never know what may happen it seems to get a good response from a lot of girls.

Hopefully when i start & get over being a complete AFC i can use it to my advantage!

Dont come off too creepy. If you say "ohh my God the kids are so cute" = WTF?

Make it sound masculine. I teach younger children. I know, it sounds wierd but i know if I can teach the younger generations ill have a greater effect on the world. High school kids are so hormonal.

My thoughts =]

I rarely even talk about my job. And I'm a Film/Music Video/Commercial Director so I could go on and on about all of the famous people I've met, ect ect. Instead, I maybe casually mention it, and then move onto another topic. This creates a curiousity of my interesting job, but for the most part I really don't care about bragging about it.

I'd much rather talk to a woman about how I don't think jobs are that important, but instead I think happiness is about developing relationships in your life (both romantic and non-romantic). I really believe this, and women love talking about this kind of stuff. Talking about relationships gets them thinking about being intimate with you. Talking about jobs will bore them.

Sure its good to share a little so that they know you aren't a bum, but I wouldn't say more than a few sentences about your job, UNLESS you see her perk up and become really interested. And even THEN, you can still wait so that she is curious. You leave her wanting more. That's what we call creating intrigue. Intrigue is absolutely crucial in convincing a woman to talk to you longer, go on a date, ect ect.

Of course eventually you'll tell her more about your job, but I would wait til you go on a first date. And even then, just be careful about babbling about your job for too long.

I even say right out to some women "I'm a film director, but I know you don't give a shit about what I do, besides wanting to know I'm not a bum. What you really care about is connecting with me as a person." And then I steer the convo into talking about relationships, values, ect ect. Try this out, you will get a good reaction!

I used to mention to women that I was a massage therapist and a gourmet chef (true only that I've taken classes on both). That usually leads to "when are you going to cook me dinner and give me a massage", which is all good.

Oh the responses I've had to that one LMAO

I was in the military(SPECWAR) for years, and I did a LOT of traveling, so usually I can tell a few "Sea stories" and I'm golden! My job that I have now is a lot less exciting(I don't get shot at anymore!), but when I tell women about it, my energy and passion make it so that they are interested.
Remember: It's not the story, it's the person who tells it that makes it interesting!

Agreed. It is not as much the job but the story and how it's told that makes it interesting. If you're passionate about it and your eyes glisten a bit extra when you talk about it, it's a real DHV. It shows that you've had a goal in your career life, and reached it. Girls like guys who work hard to achieve their goals. They quickly relate to themselves being a possible goal.

As for me, I am studying to become a maths and physics teacher for 14-19 year-olds. I will usually try to mention that I want to be a teacher because I want to help people, help them get on the right track in life from the start. Another DHV. It also shows I got some brains underneath the player face :)
