I had just finished smoking a fat bong rip to my dome when I got a call from this HB I’ve been seeing for a few months. She was being kind of a bitch so I had to put the freeze on her. Right as answered the phone I know I was f**ked, there is no way I could be cocky/funny after smoking a bowl of purple kush.

My mind was blank and the last thing I wanted to do is make this another boring phone call like the ones she had been having ever since I put her on ice. For the life of me I couldn’t think of anything to say. I remember reading (cant recall where it might have been maybe is was Ross Jefferies) that said when talking to a HB on the phone its key to make her laugh and experience positive emotions for lack of a better to way to explain it but I think you know what I’m getting at.

Then this light bulb turned on in my head. Why should I been the one trying to impress her? After all I’m the prize not her, she called me so it should be on her to entertain me. I told her something along the lines of “look I was reading the funnies when you called since I can’t read them and talk to you at the same time why don’t you tell me a funny story (a line I hacked from the movie Training Day). What this did is A). made her qualify herself to me, and B) It made her associate a good or funny experience with talking to me. After hearing a few mildly funny stories that I forced myself to lol at I told her I had to get going. Not more then 5 minutes after getting off the phone with her she stated texting me saying how much she missed me.

I use this often and it goes both ways, basically depending on her personality. If she is fun, outgoing, and eccentric, she will tell you an exciting story that happened to her. As a result, she will like you more because she is talking about herself.

But on the flip-side, putting her on the spot might lead to her not coming up with anything. Then the conversation becomes very dull and mundane.

So here's the solution:

Try to get her to validate herself by making her tell you a story...but if she doesn't have anything, then you tell her one instead.
