Im going to the premiere of indiana jones on tuesday night and then to this cool club. Seeing as i wont really know anyone there iv decided this will be a great place to try some openeres but there are a few problems:

(1) They will either be celebritys or important people
(2) Will more than likely be older than me.

I need some help getting some good openers. Do i need to dhv and neg in my opener?

As far as this situation, I can really only offer one bit of advice--I dunno if you're regularly in situations where celebrities are present, but treat them just as casually--if not MORE so--than you would any regular person. Just talk to them like normal people. Don't say "I know who you are" if you are introduced. If it's not someone you're trying to pick up, you can comment on their work after introductions as long as you're very calm with how you do it. If you're trying to pick one up, don't comment on her career at all. Pretend you don't even know who the hell she is--as far as you know, she's just another party girl or somebody's assistant. When you're talking and she tells you she's an actress or whatever, you might even claim to recognize her from some crappy CW show lol. (Or, if you're familiar with this actress' actual resume, claim to finally recognize her from something AWFUL from early in her career.) The girls at this party, it sounds like, are people who'll be used to being fawned over. Be the difference.

Oh yeah im going to act as if iv never even heard of them even if they keep at me.... Im pretty sure im going to have to dhv and neg the hell out of them. Anyone got any idea for a good situational opener? As i said before do you think i should open with a neg?

Anyone got any input? I have a few ideas but im still not sure how i should open.... Should i just do the who lies more opener?

How old are you?
I am certainly no PUA by any means, but I do have experience with celebrities and the important folk from my work place (I work at a performing arts center). The two worst things you can do if you do get any face time with such people is trying to display higher value and treating them like a celebrity. The best thing to do is to just treat them as a human being and nothing else. Talk to them as you would like anyone else. There is no real advice I can give for negs or what have you for something like this. You are going to have to be able to move on your feet on this one.

You have to keep in mind you are dealing with a totally different crowd of people here. So your normal PUA stuff may not work at all, and as I mention before your going to have to move on your feet when your talking to people and trying to pick up girls. I am assuming your not part of the whole celebrity and important people crowd which will work in your favor as that will make you different, but at the same time work against you as you are a nobody to them. There is no real way to combat this as some of these people will look down upon you while others will at least acknowledge you.

How'd this work out?

Got to the cinea and it was full of people mainly in their 20's and early 30's. Saw an actress that was my age (Sarah Bolger) but i disobeyed the 3 second rule because i figured she would be at the after party....
Watched the movie which was a bit of a let down I walked over to the after party and was going through how i would open the actress. When i got there it was full of more people in their late 20's and early 30's..... Looked around for the actress but she was nowhere to be seen I guess she couldnt get in because she wasnt 18 (I only got in because i went through the back because i was on the vip vip list.) After that i didnt try and open anyone because i didnt feel confident enough with my game to run it on people 6+ years older than me.... So basically i failed but one thing i learnt is always use the 3 second rule and dont assume you will see them later.
