opened a set with an opener and ejected (dont ask me why). Saw the two set later in the day and as soon as they saw me they kinda ran off. What does this mean?

I'm sort of new to this myself

But it sounds like you may have approached them from behind, or maybe crowded them and leaned in, invaded their bubble.. Whatever it was you did something wrong and creeped them out.

could they have been talking about me and my wing and then weren't ready to talk to us again or were they just purely freaked out.

sounds like you definatly creeped them out. You were probably being too forward or something. did you use a fake time constraint? make sure you do. It is extremely important.
