i want to know how to approach this??

I've met this HB twice now, both occasions out to dinner with friends,

1st time built a little bit of attraction (3 weeks in between) 2nd time a little bit more...

by sharing my thoughts to her friends...she knows I'm interested.

downside is that she has a bf, upside is they do long distance and her friends think hes a prick to her.

driving to dinner the other night, her friend was rambling on about how much of a c*%t her bf is.

Coming home from dinner the other night the same friend gave me her phone no#...(less than a week ago)

So I'm wondering how to approach it?

do i ring her cold turkey and tell her i want to meet up
(or) do i wait till i meet her again with friends and game her

Am still a recovering AFC so forgive me if this isnt spot on... but what i did given this situation is played it as though she was lucky that i was given her number, basically went along the lines of dropping her a txt at first saying that i'd been given her number by x friend and hope she doesnt mind but figured may as well treat her to a txt from me, and isnt she lucky etc (with a smiley... though i am known to over-use those)

I admit it does have afc vibes in it still but it worked well as an opener for me as she came back to me saying i was the lucky one getting her number but she didnt mind followed by a bit more playful banter (f-close after a week or so, so not too bad really)

u no dude chicks these days tell there gf's absolutlty everything... she definitly ran it by her freind b4 she jus gave her number 2 you so u no what. yea its a total ioi, and whats even better is that u r obviously in her freinds good graces which is essential. so good luck ur def on the right path

Cheers for the advice, just thought i'd offer an update...

i've since sent her a text...tried a bit of cocky funny....dont think it went down well, Its one of those situations where my friend's friend lives with this girl and i get the goss on how my texts were received. turns out a joke of mine wasn't that well received, I've learn't that you just cant portray humor through a text...its to risky.

I asked her if she wanted to meet up, but she said she had something to do that night...and that she was going away for a holiday with her BF! shes doing long distance with...its been on the ropes...and the goss is shes gone away to sort it out (e.g its on or off for good)

so the sate of affairs is she hasn't replied to my joke since last week...and i'm wondering if i should fire off a text and ask her how her holiday is going ...etc etc..

i also mentioned to her room mate that i wasn't interested anymore knowing that it could well get back to her....(an attempt to display active disinterest)

How do you think i should play this? (the gossip circle is fucking me up)

Humor does work over text, it's just different. When I chat with someone online I'm completely insane. Like, I'll be talking about how I'm a disembodied vampire head, or how they should join my zombie army. Or that they're living in their parent's basement keeping the bats company. Insane enough that they can't take it seriously if they wanted to.
