Well, I'm a senior in college and I decided to use a canned opener on this one. My game is a bit off because of a recent break-up but hopefully I can get back into it. Here's the scoop:

Teacher: Alright everyone, form a group and will start on a class project.
Me: (looks for the finest girl in class and sits next to her and groups up)
All: Write our names and numbers down
Her: *Leaves class early and in a hurry*
Me: *Bummer*

Next Week (Have a 3 hour class once a week)

I come 10 mins early, and I sit next to her again:

Her: So did you do your HW?
Me: NO! There was HW?
Her: Hah! Just joking! *and playfully taps me on the arm* (Good sign?)
Me: Oh wow.
Me: So how'd you do on the quiz?
Her: We had a quiz?!
Me: Nah. Just messing.
Her: OMG (Playfully taps me again)

Hour an Half of classes passes and we both take notes on lecture.

Break Time:
Whole group leaves early and I go along too. I start walking and I keep myself paced forward and not behind her.

Her: So where do you park? (we have a convo about how I got 200 dollars worth of parking tickets)
Me: Meter Parking over there.
Her: Wow. You shoulda just bought a regular parking permit.
Me: Yeah.
Me: Not to be self-conscience or anything, but do I look gay?
Her: Um.. No, but I think you look metro sexual.
Me: Oh, does that mean I'm hot?
Her: It means you care about how you look.
Me: Oh, I was just asking cause some guy was hitting on me earlier!
Her: What? Really? Thats so weird.


Convo carries on but I get into the danger zone.

The Neg

Me: Well since you think I'm hot, thanks.
Her: giggle
Me: You don't look too bad urself.
Me: I mean, you don't need make-up, but you're alright.
Her: umm... oookay? (Red Flag?)
Her: (talks more about classes and what not)
Me: (I keep up with the convo) then walk separate ways and say "Well... see ya next week!"

Well thats how it went. I felt that I made some progress in the beginning but I kind of felt unnatural about the convo since it was canned up. And another problem is that I didn't close it properly. I do have her number from writing our group contacts and maybe I figured I might have an excuse to call for a date? Now I think my only hope is to be FUNNY and NATURAL on the phone.

But any takers or ideas?

i think the last convo you had with her really explains it. in my experience girls are pretty insecure when it comes to make up or lack thereof. i mean i understand the neg part of it, but it might of been too much depending on your delivery.

Yeah. You are right. The neg didn't seem necessary, but I couldn't help it cause shes so damn pretty. And I bet too many guys approach her.

However, whats done is done and I'm not gonna dread it. Its either: A.) I call, tell her the missing quiz line, then make her laugh.

Or B.) I can wait till next week to break in more interesting convos and make her laugh some more.

"B" seems reasonable, however, it seems waaay too long. I'm wondering what other PUAs would do in this situation.
