Hey guys, what's happening? I'm a hispanic male from new england looking for someone to slap some fashion sense into me.

I've never really been a snazzy dresser by any means, but these days it's getting way worse. Here's a rundown of what i look like (trying to be as honest as possible here):
I'm 6'2", 210pds, tan (not really dark, but you can tell im' not caucasian, and i've been told i look greek), i am pretty our of shape, with skinny legs and arms, and a developing gut (that i'm working on). I also have a very long, square face, and a nose that is entirely too large for my liking.

As far as my current style, it's old jeans, with old band t-shirts, plad short sleve overshirts, and hoodies. I wear my hair in longish spikes, and have a loop earing on each side, a goatee, and a labret piercing (lip).

Anyway, i'm wondering if someone could give me some pointers on what colors/styles i should wear to compliment my body type, skin color, etc, rather than bring out my weaknesses. I've had a gf for about 3 years, and she's never really been much help with this, unfortunately.

any and all help will be appreciated, and sorry for the long post.

Go out to Diesel and buy a $400 pair of jeans.

I do this about once a year. There is nothing wrong IMO about having one pair of jeans, especially if they are a $400 pair. I've been wearing my latest jeans for 8 months now and havn't had one comment about how I always wear them.

People say ARE YOU CRAZZZY?!
well the fact is yes... but I wear these jeans ALOT.

I picked out some cool things and put them into an online store. It's an aff link so don't feel like you should buy anything, just use them as an example for what I like to call "Fashionably Edgey."

In other words, being two steps above most dudes at the club, but not the 10 stratospheric steps above that PUA peacocking to the extreme goes for. My style still gets me opened (not as much as peacocking), but I'm almost never shit tested and mostly complimented.

Most of the good (if blunted) and none of the bad that peacocking brings to the table.

There are also other styles beyond Hollywood Hipster like Emo, Rocker, Biker, Pretty Boy, Preppy, etc. Just take your core fashion prediliction and BE BETTER than the other chumps in order to stand out from them.

Why when you can get the same results wearing far cheaper alternative?
$400 jeans seems overkill to me, considering I'm a college student on a budget.

Just get jeans that match your body and look good. Use the girls in stores to help choose some that look good on you, or bring some lady friends to help. After all, they know what they like best on guys right?

Lately I've been getting into the more preppy/collared shirt look. I've been wearing skate clothes for years.

I would definetly buy some diesel jeans if your careful you can get a real pair for around $80 on ebay. I also like to wear affliction t shirts they have awesome graphics and chics love them. Accessories is were you want to stand out. Buy cool rings and wear low cut shirts with a cool necklace like a dog tag. Thats what i wear plus some peacocking gear and it works.

Fuck a pair of Diesel Jeans, there are dozens of alternatives that look just as nice if not better for a fraction of the price. For instance I bought 3 pairs of Brooklyn Express the other day for 75 bucks, total. They are very nice, very well made jeans that will last me for at least two years. Now what would you rather have, one pair for 400 or 3 for 75? If your looking for fashion ideas, buy a few mens magazines, look at the advertisements, there are plenty.

This advice is perfect. And chances are when you look in these magazines they will encourage you to buy jeans for $500 and a $200 shirt. So mimic the styles in magazines you like and just buy cheaper alternatives. Like C-DUB I also go for a preppy collared shirt look nowadays. Usually wear a shirt either by itself or a t-shirt over the top in light (not bright) colours (I dont like black much, I think with the whole new emo culture it can give off negative connotations as well as being dull). I wear alot of white, pale blue, green and brown tops. Whatever I feel is classy. Also a pair of grey or rusted denim jeans with a nice pair of shoes. I think the same sort of gettup would look good on you mang.
I also wear a few rings and a necklace most of the time. I like plainish rings and necklaces with a symbol or something on them that girls can ask about.
Next time I go out I will post a picture. I have been complemented alot on my style. I remember one girl once said I wouldn't be hot if it weren't for my dress sense (I took it as a complement :))
