In other words, I'd like to have your opinion on how important being popular in school is, referring to the game and general social life.

If you tighten up your game, and get more confidence your popularity level will go up, if you get more popular your game will improve.

Girls are weird in HighSchool but it does reflect girls in later game. They all want to date the guys that their friends want to date. This reflects the whole popularity thing... great time to practice the game though cuz it is a crazy little microcosm of the world and if you fuck up, no one remembers highschool once they go to college.
