More research chris, dam where do you get all this stuff.
Although i dont have a big issue with my voice, i do think its abit deep, but i do talk with a certain smoothness, so its ok. But i sometimes wish it was less deep, its smoking that does me.
I have girls say things like 'you sound sexy over the phone' and im thinking what? Dont i sound sexy in person? What the fuck is up with that?
I'll work on it
I also find people with higher voices tend to get away with saying things more than with deeper voices.
Over the phone they are focusing largly on your tone of voice, sometimes even more so than the words you are saying, because our minds tend to wander as we're paying attention to the things we are looking at and we just hear the tonality of the person talking to us. In person, they are paying attention to what you are saying, because they are looking directly at you, they are also paying attention to your body language/facial ques, so they aren't consciously focused on your tone, as much and thus don't comment on it.
It's also more socially acceptable to comment on that sort of thing over the phone, than in person, because in person it would sound very forward, because it is considered a small detail, yet over the phone it is considered a legitimate compliment.
