Hey man, Ezo pretty much summed it up for you there but just to give my 2 cents, Openers aren't necessary. The point of openers is simply to start a conversation with a girl. They're not intended to demonstrate value or build interest etc. They just open the set after which you transition into attraction and comfort building.
If you are already capable of opening sets well without scripted openers then don't use them. It'll only do damage by making you overthink something you can already do naturally.
Just open as you've always done, then transition (you can read how to do this in any MM based book but I'd recommend Magic Bullets) into your mid-game material.
So many people make the mistake, particularly when starting off, of taking Mystery Method (or other forms of game) as being set in stone. You have to remember that they're just guidelines. If you can already naturally achieve part of it don't feel like you have to change what you're doing (thus making it less effective) or else it won't work with the rest of the method's stuff. All the techniques in the different linear models of pick-up are designed to achieve a certain goal (openers to open, DHV stories and playful routines, amongst other things, to build attraction). But they are just techniques that CAN be used to achieve this if you have trouble doing it naturally, they don't HAVE to be used.
Hope this helps anyway
