Sounds like the problem I used to have as far as the "I have a boyfriend" aspect goes. Whenever I got this pulled on me I completely shut down my game and basically just faded away not-so-gracefully. I have learned some effective information and theories about this though...
1. She might not even have a boyfriend, she just has this response on autopilot to keep the AFC's away.
2. She might have a "boy" who is a "friend" that she's not even really into...but that he fills that ROLE as a boyfriend. So she wouldn't really be lying but she's not really telling the truth. Role's are funny things
3. LTR's get stagnant. Believe me, I've had my share. They do. She's just waiting for the right guy with the right moves (PUA baby!) to come save the day.
BUT...as far as getting past these 3 little truths, here is some in-field advice that you can use the next time this comes up...
1. Ignore the fact that she says she has a boyfriend. Stack forward with your game.
2. Go the C/F route and say something like "Oh good! He can serve us breakfast in bed!!!" ( I like this one, it matches my personality!)
3. Keep talking to her, then start STICKING UP FOR HIM...this re-frames her mindset of him into a boring AFC!
4. Start building a foreboding plot line. One of my personal favorites is "You are lucky I like the guy, because if I didn't I would just take you away to a secluded island where we would just lay on the beach all day and relax in the cool water and watch the sunset..." It gives her a feeling of what MIGHT happen with you. The more romantic imagery you use the better!!!
So there's my schpeal on those so-called boyfriends (AFC's). Most importantly, just don't let it phase you. You are obviously a higher value male than he is. You just have to go under the radar to let her SEE that! Happy Hunting Comrades
