I watched the movie Sex Drive a couple days ago, which was pretty funny...

Anyway, the supporting character, at one scene, was hand cuffed to the head post of a bed. At the end of the scene, he had to break the chain to get loose, which left just the one cuff around his right wrist.

Now, I think that's pretty bad ass. Just the one cuff around the wrist, it looks like a normal watch at first glance, but looks kinda cool once you look at it. It's not obnoxious or flamboyant, but still could make for an interesting story.

What do you guys think? Good idea or bad?

Also, what cool stories could you tell when they ask about why you're only wearing one cuff?

haha i like it. i find that talking bad about cops is a generally good conversation topic (whether or not people like cops, and most don't, they will entertain the idea of you hating the cops)

If I were you, I would go with a totally rediculous, hyperbole story about escaping arrest. It doesn't need to be true, I find that some fiction stories, even if the girls know they are fiction still serve their purpose as badass DHV's / conversation fillers even if you say it like a joke, on the other hand if it comes off too much like a joke and she sees you have a prop you're gonna seem try hard.

actually, come to think of it, since ur prolly not gonna be able to come up with a legit story, ur gonna seem try hard...UNLESS you use it strictly in the night game/club environment.

so, tell them you were on your way to the club and got pulled over, for some bullshit reason, like somebody just robbed a bank and had ur exact same car. The cops hassle you for a while, then tell you they are gonna take you in for questioning. You know you HAVE to get to the club tonight, because you have a feeling you will meet your soul mate (ooh I like this, haha i think mystery would like this part too) You warn the cops that you are a badass martial artist, but they get defensive and slap a cuff on your wrist. You know it's now or never, jail or club time so you take a swing for the cop. (At this point make all kinds of crazy martial arts motions and loud noises to demonstrate the fight) U then take the cop car while they are temporarily unable to fight, and speed away, telling ur friend to follow you, you meet up a short distance away, ditch the car, and then realize u were so pumped up you forgot to get the key to ur cuffs! so u park the car in an underground garage, put the cover on it and head in the club, deciding to worry about the handcuff later.


hahahahah okay, everybody criticize my cool/lame story as you will, but I gave it a shot, something nobody else could do. I think it's a little rediculous for me to use, realizing so AFTER I wrote it, but hey, if you can tweak it and pull it off, you da man lol

ahh, I wrote all of that for nothing. Not even the author of the post commented! now that's sad...I was the only one who tried Oh well, maybe we should stick with some simpler DHV's...this one is over the top.

I like the story but it's a little bit far fetched for me. I'm not sure if I can really sell it. I'll try to think of ways to tone it down a bit...
