So in Day 2 the game is about Looking Into People's Eyes. I have practiced intensively in most conversations I have with colleagues and friends. The cool thing is I found out that it is not considered rude nor people will be pushed away by your staring. Instead, it exerted pressure and control to them, and showed them your interest of listening to them. I mean in overall it works for you not against you. Of course the key thing is you only do it when you are having a conversation or about to have one. NEVER stare at someone and end up not talking to them. That's creepy.
On the way back I opened a girl who has a nice physique. I was walking behind her so didn't know that she was like 10 yrs older than me. She was listening to music, so I had to repeat my openner one more time. So don't worry if the girl's first response to your opener is cold. She might have missed it. Try it again.
Me: Hey, do you do cross country.
She (HB 7.5): oh no.
Me: Well, you look like someone who do cross country.
She: Well, actually I'm a runner but I don't run cross country.
So we kept on talking. She works at a bar and organizes a city running thing every wed. That's cool coz I have been looking for a place to hang out. Plus it's cool simply just know a hot bartender.
So I naturally ask for the bar's name and her contacts. She gave me her email and I will email her later abt the running stuff.
One thing I have been practicing is to use Blackberry to my advantage. Instead of asking things from girls, like their contact info, a bar's name, an address, I pull out my blackberry and ask them to text it in for me. There are a few reasons I do it.
1) I'm not a native speaker, so I don't catch the naming or spelling that easily. I might hear a name but dunno how to spell it, like mixing Kathleen and Katherine up.
2) blackberry keyboard is a little confusing. So when girls type things in, they are put into a naturally weak position and they need to ask for your instructions. That's a very natural way of DHVing.
3) asking them to type it in is a compliance test. So you are actually hitting a lot of birds with one stone.
This is just my experience so far. But make sure to use any tool you have to your advantage. It's all in your mind
