My beliefs are FACTS and my real life experiences, not the pop positivity, fake reality that gets promoted by both the PUA and self help industries,eg. you cannot pretend to be the worlds best fighter, when in reality you could not fight your way out of a wet paper bag.
My beliefs are facts based on my real life experiences. They are in contradiction to your experiences. What you learn through experiences are subjective in nature. Our perceptions are influenced by our beliefs and in turn influence what we assume to be fact.
Hard sciences can give us more reliable facts, like laws of nature and shit. Our own perceptions of our experiences are not so objective. Anyone can make drastic changes to how they live simply by seeing things from a different perspective.
I'll admit that much of the pickup community has a lot of bullshit and flaws, but don't throw the baby with the bath water or whatever that saying is. The use of untrue affirmations that you speak of is one of the unfortunate pieces of bullshit that the pickup community propagates. In my quest for truth I had to sift through a lot of bullshit to get to the gold but it was still worth it, and I'm much better off now than before I had discovered pickup.
I used to believe it was FACT that no woman in their right mind would be attracted to a skinny little Asian kid like me. My experiences told me so. I had tried to court many many women time and time again, all to no avail. I take it that you've experienced something similar, so you can probably relate to what I'm saying here.
Then, I found some pickup resources on the internet and started to open my mind to ideas. Instead of doing what I had always done, why not try new methods? Fortunately this was back in the day before Mystery Method became popular, so I wasn't as inundated with the same mainstream bullshit that relentlessly gets shoved in our faces today. Instead I was introduced to logical explanations from David Deangelo as to why what I've always been doing cannot work and how different actions coming from a different point of view can work a lot better. I tried some new things and then I started getting more positive attention from women!
If you believe that doing different things will get you the same results as FACT, then you're going to be hopeless in any area of your life. However, I don't think you're that stupid. It's pretty simple logic to follow: different input -> different output.

I don't mean to sound racist here, however I have been told that Asian men have a hard time with women, the same way my Arab appearance is an instant deal breaker with women. A friend of mine, knows this wannabe Japanese PUA, and this poor guy approaches hundreds, possibly thousands of women, and still gets nothing, in fact he has been racially abused several times. As a result of all the rejections, this poor Japanese guy is suffering from depression and uses alcohol as his anti-depressant.

Growing up in America, I initially had a really hard time with girls because I'm a short Asian guy. Let me tell you, man... short Asian guys are really really undesirable. I've come a long way through the hard work of becoming a pickup artist. I have the expertise, skill, and correct beliefs that allow me to speak the language of women in a way that turns them on to no end. You can have the same dramatic life change if you let go of your old beliefs and open your eyes to how everything we do really does make a lot of sense.
