I was in the line-up at the refreshment concession at a movie theater.
There were 2 girls (one of them a 9, another, an 8 ) in front of me.
In front of them was a 50-something yr old man trying to pick them up.
They seemed to be disgusted as he was pretty old.
When the old guy left, I teased them about how the old guy was hitting on them. Here's how the convo went:

Girl1 is the 8, and Girl2, standing behind her, is the 9.

NOTE: This was actually my first time at a pick-up attempt. Although it was a failure, I'm proud I went for it, and gained the experience.

I would like your feedback and advice.

Me: I think that guy was hitting on you.
Girl2: eeeeeeew
Girl1: can you beat him up for us?
Me: for how much (me rubbing my fingers together indicating MONEY lol)
Girl1: for a smile
Me: No, what else you got?
Girl1: a dollar
Me: noooo
---silent for a few seconds

Girl1 bumps into me a few times and says "sorry".
Me: you're doing that on purpose, aren't you?
Girl1 smiles and says nothing.
I bump into her the same way she did, and say "oops, sorry".
She bumps back into me the same way, and we start playing around like that for a few seconds (KINO!!!).
Girl2: ooooooooooohh.... he's fun.

Girl1: that old man before wanted to f*ck us. You wanna f*ck us too.
Me: no I don't. You're the one who wants to f*ck me.
---They both stay silent and smiling for a few seconds...

Me (too the both of them): meh.. you're too young for me.
Girl2: how old are you?
Me: how old do I look?
Girl2: 13 (though, my real age is 20)
Me: actually, I'm 20
Girl2 (pointing at Girl1): she's 19
Girl1: no, I'm 15 (saying it with an attitude)
---I didn't know what to do... the girls were underage... i froze lol

Girl1: wanna buy me that chocolate there?
Me: no... you buy me something.
Girl1: no
---a few seconds of silence

Me (to Girl1): what movie are you watching?
Girl1: movie title
---I was expecting her to ask me what movie I was watching, but she didn't...

at this point, it was my turn to buy something, and after I did, I just left lol.

I was gonna ask for their numbers, but then the age 15 popped in my head and I was all like... "aahh.. dammit". Girl1 looked older than that though... oh well. Girl2 was a lot hotter, but was almost always standing a behind Girl1. Girl1 did most of the talking. My real goal was to talk to Girl2 though... oh well.

How could I have made this a a succesful pick-up?

First pick up ever? You say they were an 8 and a 9?

Didnt seem you did too bad a job. But you sure they were 8 and 9?
Aaaah Im not going to get into a ratings system debate.

Either way seems you did alright to me. You bounced back alright. Silence was alright to see if they would respond. But your answers were pretty bland and just contradictory, little else.
Just jazz them up a bit. Better luck next time anyway eh?

I heard a story about Thomas Edison (or Alexander Bell... one of those inventor guys) in one of my classes. He was trying to invent the lightbulb or something and he kept failing. He was being interviewed by some newspaper and the reporter asked him how many times he's tried to successfully make a lightbulb and he answers some crazy number like 100 times. The reporter responds "So you mean you've failed 100 times trying to make a lightbulb??" and Edison replies "No, I found out 100 ways how to NOT make a lightbulb"

Just some reframing advice :) Nothing is failure; it's always experience gained.

if you wanted girl2 you did the right thing talkin to girl one, try mystery method next time, win over the friend, neg (back handed compliment) girl2 and then straight back to number1. i can see some cocky funny in there which is always good but you need some DHV routines.

in a case like that though i think speed seduction could be good but im just getin in to that so ask me in a couple of months when iv finished readin about it and have tried it

I think you did the right thing by not going back to talk to them. You could have easily number closed had you not frozen at the age comment... at least so it seems from you post. You don't want to get near that "illegal" age.

In regards to the 8 and 9 ratings- never mistake the rating system... haha. Though, they might be 8s or 9s, they are severely underage... No go. Usually 8s or 9s act a bit more stubborn, withdrawn, and don't act like the girls you described, but they could have been acting like that because they knew you were a lot older and that usually attracts middle school girls.
