Ok I seem to have no problem opening. My problem is holding thier interest afterwards. Just today I got cockblocked by an obstacle after opening. Sometimes I also pause durring a conversation and it leaves a somewhat awkward silence. I have a DHV story already prepared(it's about me saving my friend from a wild boar attack, false but it's all i could think of). So any tips on how to hold thier interest. I don't have any problem negging either they usually laugh after I do it. So any tips on holding interest after opening?

One story's not enough. You have to have an arsenal of stories to tell, and a point to each one. It helps if you can plan ahead of time how one story can lead into another, and you can navigate a pre-programmed map of your conversation threads eventually going on auto-pilot, which gives you a chance to focus on your game and watch for IOIs.

I listen to NPR, I find it a great source of ideas. I have a lot of stories that start with "I heard a good one on the radio the other day..."

Rattle off half a dozen of those and she'll start thinking that you listen to a lot of radio, which makes you that little more interesting.

Tell one joke, she'll think that's funny. Tell a string of jokes, she'll think YOU! are funny.

Tell one interesting story, she'll think that's interesting. Tell a string of interesting stories, she'll think YOU! are interesting.
