Weight lifting is simple. The most simple rule is for every reaction there is an equal and opposite reaction. So for every push there is a pull as listed below. If you don't train the opposite muscles you look like a warb for example you see those guys walking around with a huge chest but rounded ugly shoulders and a hunched back.
For your chest do normal push ups, do triangle push ups i you want to work your triceps, Dips are also awesome for the chest too. You can progress by either putting a weight on your back or wearing a weight vest/backpack or doing more reps.
The opposite of you chest is your back so do pullups theres heaps of shit to do pullups off like a childs play equipment or those door pull up thingies. Then you need to do a rowing motion for you back so pick somthing up a heavy 10 - 15L water bottle will do and perform a dumbell rowing motion.
Do overhead presses for you shoulders with anything you can find. You can even do a handstand against the wall and do that same motion which is awesome if you can do that.
Then do squats for you legs holding some kind of weight. Also do shuttle runs to hit your hamstrings.

go to the gym and do heavy weighted squats which work almost every muscle in the body. Follow this up with heavy deadlifts which are the opposite to the squat and you'll be amazed by how big you'll get.
