I´m fairly new to this but i´ve been absorbing a heck of alot of material to see what I have been doing wrong all my life as an AFC. And i realize one simple thing: All the PUAs have one thing in common: THE SETS SHOULDN´T LAST LONG!
I am finding it much easier to get a number now and close while rapport/attraction is still high and then make up some excuse to leave and get back to my friends. Unless it is going SO HOT that you want to isolate and try to change venue in the same night. But that is much more difficult than just getting the number, which is what usually happens.
So is it really that simple? Was I really doing well all these years but just stayed in the set for an hour or two until it became anti-climactic? Should i just break off with a target when rapport is at its highest?? It seems to go against one´s instincts to do that, yet, from studying the routines that PUAs run, i don´t see any of them staying more than half an hour in a set, unless, like i said, it really gets hot. They just go from collecting one number to getting another...

I've been wondering the same thing, but having tried it a little I find that it's definitely more effective to leave the set sooner rather than later, especially if you're new to this, like us.

I don't know if you have the same problem, but fortunately I tend to aim my sets to end quickly as I haven't worked too much on my mid-game yet, so if I can get in with an opener and some general conversation, leave with a number or kiss close, then result.

I do agree that its much easier to close fast, since at that point you are the center of attention, this new interested person who automatically gets +Extra attention and value. Though I don't think its a good idea to take number and leave, UNLESS you have a plan of what you are gonna do next. Once you leave her, her state will change and she won't be the same as you left her the next time you meet.
I believe I heard it in one of the courses, that what is impressive is to close after an hour,two or a day - not after 5-10min.

p.s. what are you doing after you number close with that number? what's your fallow up?

O.K so i have been reading that you should build comfort before number closing, so i agree with you about not leaving after 5 or 10 minutes. But staying 2 hours let alone a day is basically impossible for me at this point. I can´t keep it going that long. I guess to do that, you would basically have to be able to isolate the target, venure change her, kiss close her all in the same night, at which point, sure, kiss and chill out the rest of the night. But i haven´t been able to do that yet.
What do i do after the number close? Go hang out with someone i know in the venue or go for another target.
p.s. which course are you talking about? did you actually go to one of these boot camps?

What I had in mind by saying courses: audio and video courses,seminars (you could call it anyway you want ). I think what comes to mind is '60 year of challenge', I believe I heard that from one of his audio.
About boot camps - haven't been yet.
